I'm sure Majak could force his way in.
Pretty sure I shouldn't laugh at that, but I did.

You could say Wokko is just being a pest, but then he might respond that Majak is the realpest, so best to just leave it alone...

Mark Evans has said Kruezer's compensation pick may be late first round early second round.
And now Carlton and the Lions have both asked for a priority pick as well.
If they get there way they will have first 5 picks in a very shallow draft. Surely the afl won't give them priority picks afte denying Melbourne last year.

^^Carlton made the finals two years ago, no priority pick.

Lions have more of a case seeing as they're struggling to keep any of their players. Might help if they hired a real coach.

Reckon the AFL will try to have a bit each way and give Brisbane and Carlton end of first round priority picks as well as end of first round compensation picks for Kreuzer and Luenberger.

So the top 18 will be set by ladder positions, but after the first round the next 6 picks will go Carlton, Brisbane, Carlton, Brisbane, Carlton, Brisbane.

Hoping that's the case anyway, unless...

Probably just Ferrett making things up again, but you never know with Hine. He's a master.

Not sure how I'd feel about helping Carlton to help ourselves. Bit of a hallow victory. :?

Needless acquisition. Would prefer to let Hine nail a late pick.

I have been a bit meh about Kreuzer coming to us, but if he did at least we know that he does bleed black and white and would give us his all. Just need to bleed that little bit of blue blood out of him, or did MM do that already...

there is nearly zero chance the Carlton window will co-incide with ours as they are starting their rebuild with the picks they take this year. That puts them more than 5 years away from contending. In fact, they are precisely the team we should be helping if it is win-win we are looking for. same with brisbane last year. win-win for them and us is perfect. the club we don't want to be helping is GWS (unless its to shorten or lengthen the time when they get into their premiership window. WB is the other team we don't want to be helping. Feels like these three teams (coll, WB and GWs) will have a turn at the top after the Eagles, Tigers, Hawks and dockers come back to earth.

I heard Neil Balme say yesterday at a function that he expects Kruezer to be at Carlton next year. When asked if a medical had been and.or did he pass/fall, a long pause (with lots of laughter) and a repeat of the line he expects Kruezer to be at Carlton next year.
