I guess the medical didnt go so well.5150 wrote:I heard Neil Balme say yesterday at a function that he expects Kruezer to be at Carlton next year. When asked if a medical had been and.or did he pass/fall, a long pause (with lots of laughter) and a repeat of the line he expects Kruezer to be at Carlton next year.
I think if we polled every single person on nicks, you would still be the only one who says that, but thanks. Its nice to get positive feedback.perthmagpie wrote:I like your posts E. WB is the other team we don't want to be helping. Feels like these three teams (coll, WB and GWs) will have a turn at the top after the Eagles, Tigers, Hawks and dockers come back to earth.Domesticated_Ape wrote: Reckon the AFL will try to have a bit each way and give Brisbane and Carlton end of first round priority picks as well as end of first round compensation picks for Kreuzer and Luenberger.
So the top 18 will be set by ladder positions, but after the first round the next 6 picks will go Carlton, Brisbane, Carlton, Brisbane, Carlton, Brisbane.
Hoping that's the case anyway, unless...
Probably just Ferrett making things up again, but you never know with Hine. He's a master.
Not sure how I'd feel about helping Carlton to help ourselves. Bit of a hallow victory.

You do make some good points here E, but on the other hand, f*ck Carlton!E wrote:there is nearly zero chance the Carlton window will co-incide with ours as they are starting their rebuild with the picks they take this year. Lions have more of a case seeing as they're struggling to keep any of their players. Might help if they hired a real coach.

Nah you're right, if a good deal becomes available, we have to do it. It'd just be better if somehow Carlton got ripped off.

Does "industry sources" mean Nicks? Assumptions and whispers, along with things like Balmes comments posted here seem to be followed by further rumours in the media. And then those articles get posted on here and we think there is more evidence of something happening.swoop42 wrote:http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/collingwood-cooling-on-carltons-matthew-kreuzer-20150912-gjl89l.html

Given Kreuzer's poor medical history I don't understand why we would want him. Of course he needs to have a medical assessment but his past history (is there any other sort?) does not augur well for him for the future.
If you were an insurance company you'd be reluctant to have him insured or that the premiums would not be affordable.
Then again the insurance company would have access to all the details.
