Don't rate Kennedy one bit. SOmebody who weighs the same as me and is shorter than me...
If Melbourne trade Howe for him, they're more stupid than I thought.
Honestly, Kennedy is no more than VFL player and a bit time ALF player. As long as we have Blair, Kennedy doesn't get a run.
I'd be happy to trade Kennedy and whatever pick St Kilda give us for Freeman for Howe if need be.
I see much more upside in getting Howe than I do keeping Kennedy.
Reason we won't get Howe for a straight swap, Howe has marketing upside where Kennedy doesn't. Elliott has marketing upside as does Swan, Pendles and maybe one or two others.
Melbourne know this and will play hard, I'm sure.

As we will apparently do with Trelor, we will give a round 1 pick from the 2015 draft and forward our round 2 pick for 2016 (whatever that is).Tannin wrote:Remind me: can we on-trade a next-year-pick (say, from St Vomit) the same as if it was our own pick originally?

Just to be clear, then, could we (say) trade Cloke for Essendon's 2016 1st round pick tomorrow, and then on-trade that pick on Wednesday to Brisbane for Aish?Brenny wrote:As we will apparently do with Trelor, we will give a round 1 pick from the 2015 draft and forward our round 2 pick for 2016 (whatever that is).Tannin wrote:Remind me: can we on-trade a next-year-pick (say, from St Vomit) the same as if it was our own pick originally?
(Not suggesting that this is likely, just asking if it is legal.)

Further Exchange of Draft Selection
(a) A Club may exchange a Draft selection which it has received from another Club, provided that the selection is not traded directly back to that Club.
(b) The time limits specified and requirements contained in Rule 9.1 shall apply to a Draft selection received and subsequently exchanged under this Rule.
Can't on-trade players in the same trade period though.

The Flog-squad at Brisbane say hello....Big T wrote:It's fine to say tell me to jam it etc but trading is a business and clubs have long memories. Doing equitable or sometimes one sided trades is normally currency for future deals which are then swinging back the other way,

great call Nathan only obscured by the fact that he plays for the Bombers now! Goose

Sorry guys, havent read the whole thread. Sneaking in a quick nicks session while im at work...
Agree with those who think Pick 61 is a joke.
And agreeing with whoever it was that said we should try to turn him into Howe. How does Pick 44 and Kennedy for Howe and pick 61 sound?

Bugger that. Straight swap or no deal. They were going to draft BK at pick 4 apparently and that was only 3 years ago.Presti35 wrote:Sorry guys, havent read the whole thread. Sneaking in a quick nicks session while im at work...

We could go after their 2016 second rounder if Howe picks North or the Suns. We should really try to replace the one we're going to use on Treloar.
