If Collingwood manages to lose to the Blooz in 2016, we'll have more to worry about than hubris.

I'd just like to say that while Carlton may be the traditional foe, my hatred for them has been far surpassed by my loathing of Hawthorn. A champion team in the sense that it has achieved 3 flags in a row, but a repugnant team due to its blatantly unfair tactics on the field. (brutal, unfair hits on opposition players, reprehensible sledging etc). I guess some traditions never change, but for me Hawthorn is now the number one team to despise. I can hardly wait for time to take its revenge on the likes of Hodge, Mitchell and Jordan... I can hardly wait for our time to come to dominate them.

The scum 3 of the softest cock first draft picks to play 50 games in history. They used to laugh at Josh fraser but he played 200 and was our best player in a GF, If I was an aspiring top 20 player draft pick I would be praying that them, or essendon, didn't pick me. That Murphy is Captain just shows how weak they are. They have nothing. Another 3 spoons should see them right. Lachie Plowman is the nephew of a friend and I have followed him with interest. Turns slower than a Neil Balme on the buffet line.
Annoying opposition supporters since 1967.

John Wren wrote:^ they also retained good first round draft picks. the players they lost were never consistent enough, possibly with the exception of bell. the gws players they brought in allows them to develop their youth and still be able to field a team. sos must know they have some semblance of talent.
Agree. Don't think they've actually lost too much in the scheme of things, brought in some potential long term players, and traded into 4x top 20 ND picks. Top effort for a team needing to massively rebuild their list.

There appeared a time in the 90's we would never catch them.
Yes but with prospective ladder positions and the vagaries of the new draw, we'll likely only get to play them once a season for at least the next few years.

I'm interested in footy but ultimately only care that Carlton don't get their list management right. That's not the case this year.

They've got at least 5 more years in the wilderness as far as I can see, so we should make hay while the sun shines!

Slightly off topic, but like many of you, I've been keeping track of the win-loss ratio, and as it's been mentioned, Carlton have won three games more than we have. It'll be a sweet day when we overtake them. It's taken a long time to get it down so low.

The two losses to them in 2012 were ridiculous. But yes, we've won 15 of the last 20 against them.

There are 2 other sides we are behind:
-Brisbane Lions are 7 wins in front, with the last three losses to them being games we really should have won. (Would like to get them twice a year while they are down).
-WCE. They are one win in front of us. All the losses between 94-2000 have cost us. Could be a couple years to get back in front while they are a decent side.

Obviously being newer clubs, the tallies are close with:
-Gold Coast. We are one win in front and really, we should have won the two games we lost to them.
-Freo. We are 4 wins in front after they've won the last three.
-Port. We are 2 wins in front after they've won three of the last four.
-Adelaide. We're 11 wins in front. But they have won the last three.

Everyone else, we are miles in font of. So far that we won't be seeing anyone catch us in our lifetimes. Some teams we are 100 wins in front of.

But yeah, as far as the win streak against Carlton, lets hope we don't drop it now!
