Gun laws in USA??
We here the president going on about restrictions, then this?
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/01 ... ement.html
Texas is the 45th state to allow open-carry in some form. Thirty states do not require the carrier to have a license, but Texas is among the 15 states that require a permit. Existing gun owners -- those who previously had concealed-carry permits -- are not required to do anything different. New applicants will have to go through updated training, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
I'm confused

So anyone can just get a Guns when ever they want?Wokko wrote:Because the President is going beyond his authority as executive while breaking his oath to uphold the Constitution.
The States aren't going to comply and his illegal executive orders will be revoked by the next President (unless it's Hillary, she'll just declare herself Dictator perpetuo.

they need a licence to buy a gun, they have cooling off periods,
just like australia, only the crims get guns "just like that"
the OP is misleading, you need a license to get a gun legally anywhere, most states you need a separate license to carry openly,
hwever, their requirements to get a licence are a lot slacker, and you can buy nastier guns

How's it misleading? Read the sentence after the bold one, 30 states do not require the carrier to have a license.think positive wrote:no Dave they cantDave The Man wrote:So anyone can just get a Guns when ever they want?Wokko wrote:Because the President is going beyond his authority as executive while breaking his oath to uphold the Constitution.

Some States do not require licensing of either the shooter or the weapons, as they see licensing as an infringement on firearm ownership.
(Bolding is mine).Amendment II
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

No, there are some categories that were banned under the National Firearms Act of 1934 including automatic firing.Dave The Man wrote:So anyone can just get a Guns when ever they want?Wokko wrote:Because the President is going beyond his authority as executive while breaking his oath to uphold the Constitution.

they allow you to open carry, (ie have it showing, not concealed) you still need a gun licence.Skids wrote:How's it misleading? Alaska, Arizona and Vermont are the only states in the union to allow the general public to carry concealed, without need of license or permit.
Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Washington do not require any certificate of firearms training.
SHALL ISSUE:States with "shall issue" systems require a license or permit to carry a concealed handgun, and applicants must meet meet certain well defined objective criteria. However, unlike "may issue" systems, a "shall issue" state removes all arbitrary bias and discretion, compelling the issuing authority to award the permit.
Shall issue states include: Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, and Wyoming. While Alaska and Arizona are states without mandatory licensing (to carry within the borders of those states), they do provide a "shall issue" system of licensing, in order to allow residents to take advantage of reciprocity when traveling to other states.

They revoked the alcohol prohibition act. The US gun nuts are still pissed off that a black man is POTUS and may be replaced with a woman. It is a shame it won't be a black or native american gay woman.stui magpie wrote:I don't see why so many people in the US are adamant that a constitutional amendment can't be changed. There are a lot of retired men where I live, quite a lot of Americans. They are pissed off that Thailand forbids foreigners to own firearms. I have heard one bloke carry on about his rights. He just can't accept that his US rights leave him when he moves to another country.
Annoying opposition supporters since 1967.
