Well the big day have come and gone. Pity about the result, but it really didn't seem to matter that much, as the day itself was such a success. Anne Wilo deserves huge thanks for her great organizational ability. Getting a stall at The Oval was brilliant. We were busy all day selling memberships and stubby holders, and dealing with the usual Brisbane dickheads. By comparison, the Freo supporters were all sweetness and light.

Meeting the players at The Australian High Commission and afterwards on Thursday night was a thriill, as was getting us into The Walkabout pub after the match. Funny thing, the players were totally engrossed in watching England play Turkey at soccer . (Hard to avoid really as all 100 TV screens in the pub had it on ! )
