that, and the bad misses by varcoe and moore, basically killed the game for us, and that non mark to sidey too. Just a real bad day for us all round really.stoliboy wrote:And Langdon's champagne comedy performance.
Runs back and saves a Melbourne goal, then wins the free kick. Then kicks the ball straight to an unmarked Melbourne player 20m out from goal. Hilarious.

Meh, players make mistakes. Overall Langdon played with a lot of heart and showed real quality most of the time. Wasn't his fault.stoliboy wrote:And Langdon's champagne comedy performance.

We got blown away in the first quarter.
Apart from that, I thought we had a real dip and were competitive.
I am obviously more easily satisfied than most here - as long as we have a red hot go, that's all I care about at this stage. Being young, we'll make mistakes and skill errors.
I'm still prepared to be patient.

Patience is in short supply around here mate. We missed and fluffed vital goals today, thats what really hurt us, the dees missed none.PyreneesPie wrote:We got blown away in the first quarter.

Three shots hit the woodwork.... yes? A few cms and there could've been a lot more scoreboard pressure on Melbourne.Piesnchess wrote:Patience is in short supply around here mate. That's true, PnC but those would not have mattered if we were not 42 points down at one stage. How we got there is for the coach to answer. I'm prepared to wait til year end but i have little hope it can be mended.Piesnchess wrote:that, and the bad misses by varcoe and moore, basically killed the game for us, and that non mark to sidey too. We've had "bad days" 11 of our last 14 games.Piesnchess wrote:that, and the bad misses by varcoe and moore, basically killed the game for us, and that non mark to sidey too. Just a real bad day for us all round really.stoliboy wrote:And Langdon's champagne comedy performance.

At least it is a young list, we have that in our favour.
We really really have to trade Cloke. I was calling for it last year and we could have got two first round picks last year too!! Cloke may still be worth something next year when we trade him, but he is like a stale bottle of pi$$. Not bagging him its just life.
Swan could be back next year.
However I think Buckley is just a regurgitater of information that all the players already know. He doesn't have original thoughts. When he is on AFL 360 he seems like a good communicator but you just sense exactly what he is going to say in advance. Same ol' same ol'.... this can be a negative.
The other thing that I presume has happened is this drug finding amongst the group has created mistrust....whatever the reason is, this group of players are not up to it and its the fact that the cattle is actually a great herd but they are under performing.
Very frustrated.....

So do we go back to Malthouses boundary line game, the Leyland bros one, round the Cape, is that the answer then.Raw Hammer wrote:The reason we were down 5 goals in the blink of an eye was the coast to coast, end to end garbage Buckley's teams have dished up since day one. Remove that crap from the opening 10 mins and we might actually win this one. That's coaching.

Yes they had a dip.Jezza wrote:We had 99 tackles so the effort was there but our game plan and structure is diabolical.
I have said before that Bux is developing a hard and tough team.
The trouble is, modern football is about run and carry and spread and skill
Something we don't have.
we don't eat our own at collingwood we just allow them to foul our nest.
