What has THAT got to do with defending a kick out or kick from opposition inside our F50? I love Bucks, have backed him in since day one...but the results and evidence don't lie.Piesnchess wrote:So do we go back to Malthouses boundary line game, the Leyland bros one, round the Cape, is that the answer then.Raw Hammer wrote:The reason we were down 5 goals in the blink of an eye was the coast to coast, end to end garbage Buckley's teams have dished up since day one. Remove that crap from the opening 10 mins and we might actually win this one. That's coaching.
Post match. Pies down to Dees. All comments please

Another rubbish performance by the team today who plays without a clue of to do. Buckley's game plan is so ineffective it's not funny, yet he continues to preach it and enforce it upon his players. We're not a side that's in anyway capable of playing a zone style. We get picked apart week in week out. Our skills are appalling; judgement poor; and we're as slow as a wet week. We specialise in turning the ball over whenever we can and love kicking to our outnumbered team mates 2 to 1.
We also love giving the opposition acres of space to run into and create options going forward, while we slap it on the boot and hope for the best. It disgusts me seeing teams go coast to coast with ease will we're left chasing the bloke whose disposed of the ball 5 minutes prior.
Notice that no one is at all accountable out there. Everyone is lost. Pendles needs to get his sh!t together and start marshalling his troops. Lead by example - you're the friggin captain. Where's the passion; the hunger; the desire to win.
I don't see it. We're lazy and inept and far too handball happy for our own good. We're probably the slowest side in the competition and the dees had the game won by half time before we decided to come out and play in the third.
The only way forward is to sack the coach. We need a fresh start and a new beginning with someone who actually knows what they're doing. Whether it's bomber or dew or whoever, I'm done with Buckley and his bullsh!t excuses. Time to walk the plank old son.
Do the honourable thing and leave. If you love this club half as much as you say, then go. Fall on your sword and take eddie with you.

Surely today signals the end of the Buckley era.
I don't think Eddies ego will allow him to sack Bucks because that would mean he would have to own up to making a mistake.
No-one on the board will have the guts to stand up to Eddie, after all, Eddie appointed them.
I reckon Bucks will resign. He may not be a good coach but I think he is an honourable man.
I just hope this happens soon so we can all unite again.
I still love the club

I was told we did that in the first quarter and got opened up ?!? From what I was told we lost the clearances badly and with the possession the Deamonds just went over the top forcing our players to leave their man causing the overlap.Raw Hammer wrote:If I was Pendles I'd force our players to go man on man one quarter and ignore the coach!

Agree
Yes. Buckley, MaGuire, and Pert will look after each other unfortunately. How Eddie goes on Fox Sports and holds a straight face is beyond me. If he cared at all about the club he would resign or sack Buckley....Magpie Jack wrote:Surely today signals the end of the Buckley era.

The effort was there today but the polish in front of goal is sadly lacking. What I wouldn't give to have an Eddie Betts crumbing in our forward line. I thought from the outset we looked like we wanted to take the game on and play on as much as possible, so at least we learnt something from last week's flat footed performance.
I liked Grundy's game. He didn't lower his colors against one of best ruckmen in the comp. How many other third year ruckmen can do what he does?
Anywho, another development year by the look of it. But these off Broadway seasons can be good for the team's development when they're not carrying the expectation of making finals. I just hope we don't get too down about it and drop our bundle and start getting flogged. As long as the effort is there and we keep working hard we'll get things heading in the right direction....eventually.

I dare say that you won't find many if any posts of me bagging Bucks, but one player won't make a difference. You keep deflecting from what the real issue is and that is we don't have a game plan, unfortunately this falls on the coaches head. I think Buckly has done his dash, we keep going backwards year after year and this year I've lost my faith that he can coach.Piesnchess wrote:I point out some players to come in that might just help, and i get accused of writing crap, look i know keyboard warriors like you hate buckleys guts, you thrive on this shit, but when someone points out players who could come in and improve the side, at least separate your hatred of buckely from that.schuey07 wrote:No but deflecting the reason for our s&@tfulness is the reason P&C writes this crap. It's every reason bar the fact we don't have a coach in P&C's eyes.Pies4shaw wrote: Because if he'd kicked a goal, like he did in the VFL, that would've made all the difference?
