Relieved to win. The match was won in the first half and after that we simply went through the motions.

Bucks isn't off the hook yet but it's a good win to build from.

A yank who grew up with Basketball, NFL & Baseball had to come out & show some CFC players how to play AFL.

Nevertheless, we won & lets celebrate...

Always good to beat those ESS pricks!

Totally. 2nd half outscored by Essendon reserves, not unlike yesterday.
Nobody kid yourselves, that was putrid, particularly the last quarter.
Disposal level back to Benny Hill standard we are accustomed to.
Annihilated in the centre again, and cut open like cans of sardines through the middle. Still painful to watch. There was no statement made here by the players, despite what channel Muppet commentators said.
This was our only chance for 2016 to get some percentage back. FAIL.

More pain to come, next week it will start.
And bring Cloke back in Suckley, you arrogant imbecile.
You have merely bought yourself another week, and nothing more.

Amen to that.

Next week is a real insight into the club but at least we can enjoy winning in ANZAC Day.

Today's performance raises more questions than answers.

Just happy to win at the moment :)

First half was great given how low my expectations were, we played like Hawthorn in my mind because I expected the saints of the 80's to show up. The Dons were worse than pathetic in the first half and made us look like champs. The second half was concerning in that if our first half form was real then we should have gone on with the game but we didn't. Glad to win and avoid Armageddon, but hold on to your hats and brace yourselves for next week!

Out: Crisp....just a horrible footballer. And Howe and Aish, both give us nothing. Howe is still in Melbourne high-flying mode, and Aish is...well.....irrelevant. Looks really small and one-paced as Cometti pointed out.

In the context of where we've been you take this win and enjoy it. A win next week would be great but probably unrealistic to be honest. Just want to see some decent football and a decent crack.

We should have won by more and losing Varcoe slowed our run. Going to miss him for another 3 to 4 weeks. Smith was impressive on debut. Cox was OK and did some great things. He has a crack and for a big bloke he can get the low ball. Happy to win but it was the Bombers and we could have won by 100 plus. Reality next week or we are back in the hunt.

Happy we won as I expected a loss.

Yep, why does it take us to be in crisis for the players to respond. That's the bit that has me perplexed.

I enjoy winning on ANZAC Day as it always seems to fall close to Greek Easter, so I am gonna enjoy it this weekend.
