A gentle whisper from a relieable source inside the club indicates Collingwood a very interested in Dusty Martin. And could offer a trade deal. With Cloke possibly the only player that could get the deal done.......
Gavin Brown.. Collingwood lifting..Right on the boundary line, back to Milane likewise... DAICOS nearly runs out of room........ GOAL

If you cant enjoy an eleven goal win, and still piss and whinge, you are the type of person who loses a five dollar note, finds a fifty, and still whinges. Just enjoy a big win, for chrissakes, lighten up.

What after leading by 76 points at half time? The game is played over 4 quarters, not 2. But hey, still glad we won, but let's show perspective here.
Yes, the first half was productive, and probably beyond our expectations.
The second half, when Essendon responded, was really nothing short of a shit fest, with putrid disposal, and excessive bludging by the forward line AGAIN.
This was Essendon's biggest loss of the year. We badly missed Varcoe in the 2nd half, and in truth, we probably cruised a bit late in the game.

You ought to get out a bit more and smell the roses Dyso old son. Today was a game to enjoy.
Brucey, first half was as good as it gets - like 2011 scores all over again.
But we got sliced open in 2nd half by a reserves team, sorry to say.
And that is not the form you want to take to Perth, or anywhere else.
What WCE generally give us when we play over there, is a reality check.

He's just way too hesitant to play senior footy. I'll reserve judgement on Howe. He showed a bit, but needs to show a lot more. Losing Varcoe is dreadful as we don't have another player of his ilk. Maybe Broomhead and Wills will come in next week.
The funny thing is when Aish was at Brisbane I didn't really see what all the hype was about, Broomhead seemed more capable and yet I was happy for the club to pursue him hard.

Strange and I can only think it was the Brisbane/Beams factor influencing me.

While it's only early days right now Aish has been seriously disappointing.

I thought we would at least be getting a slightly built outside receiver with good foot skills and yet at present Aish can't find enough open space and is finding more inside ball and using it by hand.

So is it just a young player still getting accustomed to his new team and game plan, a fitness issue, poor form or is he just to one paced to play the role off half back or on a wing and can't run and spread well enough to be an option in open space.

He might just be a spud?.....

I actually think he has done alright, is clearly half a season or more off his best

Aish is still very young and some good scouts have rated him so I will go with that call however he has been pretty poor thus far. He lacks confidence but one break out game could be the turning point.

Adams had a great game today, despite an early niggle and that attack on the footy and goal from 50m was indicative of a young player who has decided he belongs and will be a very good player for the Pies :)

Great win, came out hard and killed it in the first half. Yeah we dropped off in the second half but they also lifted. I'll take a 69 point win any day after the rubbish we served up so far this season.

If that doesn't make it clear to the doubters, I don't know what will.

It's not the coach or game plan that's been the problem, it's the players ability to execute.

Today they came out and performed. That's the new benchmark. The Sack Buckley brigade should all go skydiving without parachutes.

23 disposals and 4 tackles (more than 12 other Pies) on debut.

Surely, you jest.
Donny.

It's a game. Enjoy it. :D
