i think ben marsh would be a good pick up,he can play in the ruck while fraser is down the forward line or vice verser, has had finals experience,so i would pick up marsh instead or read,we have enough small running type players as it is,dont need anymore..

Marsh, Mckee, and the difference is? Probably McKee has been more successful. We've still got him as a backup, so forget Marsh. After all he couldn't break into the "All-Star" line-up of Keating and that other big uselss prick from the Crows so let someone else have him.

Keating? He plays for Brisbane, and his brother played five games for the crows. You don't mean Rehn????

And remember Marsh was a good player until he got injured. Too old now though and that injury really stopped his career.

Wait until the Lions start delisting then pounce! Even if they can't get a game with the Lions they could still be pretty good!

I believe geelong has delisted Brent Gricj. He was playing for Melbourne in 1998. He helped Collingwood snatch defeat from the jaws of victory against the Dees that year. I remember Buckley was quoted after that game as saying we played "dumb football".

Sorry Dave from Canberra, my mistake - I meant Matthew Clarke from the Crows (not Clarke Keating from Brisbane!) - I would kill to have Clarke Keating in the team. My feeling on this whole issue is yes, the crows won the most hit outs for the year thanks to Clarkes taps but what good did it do them? Whenever we play the Crows Clarke/Biglands dominates however our midfield mops up his taps and inevitably we win. Next year we will still have a dominant midfield and tap ruckmen won't worry us too much, unlike Keating who is the only ruckman who can regularly pump it forward with an all star lineup to clean up. So I think MM is correct to start playing Richards/Cloke/Walker/Fraser with Mckee as a back-up only - after all we as a club need to find out whether these guys are going to be long term options in the ruck and if not draft more young ruckmen or trade for an established dominant 1st ruck. After all we won 16 games for the H&A plus 2 finals without a dominant tap ruckmen, we just have keating and his Lions as our bogey team. Something to work on with youth, yes. Is Marsh the answer? I don't think he is, we have to get McKee and a youngster back on the park. Anyway, whatever MM and the boys do with trades/draft, they've got the runs on the board in my eyes and nI have complete faith that if they do go against my logic and draft Marsh, they know a lot more about the team than I do and making 2 GF's in a row with a very young side is testament to that.
