Our start was brilliant and the way we withstood Geelong's comeback was outstanding. Very proud of the boys!
Totally Jez. Amazing things happen when everybody buys-in to the task.
Just goes to show you are never out of it in a two-horse race.
Even the blokes who struggled for much of the day found something to contribute in the final quarter when Geeeelong had momentum up.

And the umpiring; just unbelievable. Again getting worse by the week.
Why is it when an opposition player hatches the ball, it's always a ball up?
But if our players DARE sit over it, "holding the ball" without fail, every time.

Not sure if next week would be a good time to bring in Cloke, or not.
Had we lost today, I would have said his absence was critical.

And i'm loving these first quarter blitzkriegs! They rock! :P

Another week of bliss on the forum as a result.

I hope the aliens who took over the players bodies today don't have to go back to their planet anytime soon.

I am so proud of the team today. They played out a full four quarters against a tough opposition. They took the game on and worked for each other. Everyone contributed. That is the pies I know. Go pies. Believe in yourselves.

Howe down back, White & Cox up forward suddenly we look a different team. Who would have thought that...not me.

Howe provides the drive we need off half-back and Cox/White are providing marking targets and both are pretty kicks for goal.

Was tempted to say that was all...

However, be remiss if I didn't say well done to all concerned - even down to Ayce Buckley for some impeccable taste in wearing a Manchester City game post game

Good times...

And to the insufferable Joel Selwood...well, this is a non swearing forum....

Wonderful, wonderful win against a quality side...
We just got nutted at the clearances...

Never thought we had a chance. Tipped the Cats and I will keep tipping against the Pies if this is the result. Happy to eat Humble Pie.
I don't know what's transpired but Jesse White is doing what he should be doing and it's been three weeks in a row and now against one of the Premiership Favorites. My hat goes off to Jesse (John Wren take note).
I was waiting for us to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory but we were resilient. Cox, Grundy, Crisp & White really stood out to me. Overall a solid team effort and a pat on the back goes to the coaches. My mate who coaches McLeod and I rate him pretty highly says, you don't know how good a coach you are until you have coached a team at the bottom and a team at the top.

Some errors from inexperience and pressure but no one can deny our intensity. It's been missing and it's back. A week at a time, we go back and reload for the Dogs.

I will enjoy a drink tonight.

I am still in shock over round 1, so I am still boycotting VPT etc.

However a win against one of the big boys goes a long way to salve old wounds and put a spring in everyone's step.

Just to let you all know that we are now ONE win away from the magic 1500, yet another milestone for the mighty Magpies!
