Today, the Collingwood Football Club was embarrassed by its players.

We are genuinely behind Carlton.
Yep Blues are better then us as they have a Actual Head Coach.

Bucks is as bad as Tony Shaw
I think Buckley is a poorer coach than Shaw Dave.

Buckley inherited a Top 4 list and has made it a bottom 4 list.

Shaw was at the club when it was a rabble on and offield.

Magpietothemax wrote:The comparison with Carlton is very apt. Their list is not as good as ours, yet their performances as a team are far better. How can this be explained except by coaching? Moreover, it is clear that Carlton's team has been instilled with confidence...confidence in their roles, confidence in each other. I think that Buckley is failing abjectly in this area.
Totally agree

But I'll also add that there is no leadership

Our captain is a champion player, but I don't rate him as a captain at all.

And we really need a back line general, the likes of Shaw and Maxy, someone marshalling the troops. Reid is pretty good at it, but he's working so hard at the moment he doesn't have the time or energy I think. And that's only the game plan, this stupid idiotic zoning that does not work. What the hell happened to the man up of the last two weeks? That's what works. Today was crap. How many no one home romp in to the square and kick form a foot away goals did they get? Pathetic
You cant fix stupid, turns out you cant quarantine it either!

Boycotting future games until something is done ! Ed you should resign ! Fans are fed up and not going anymore! We are rapidly becoming the new Melbourne. Boring club , low crowds, no supporter influence on the Club direction, fans taken for granted, crap dull social club! These non Victoria Park years will go down in our Xlub history as the worst . Losing generations .
I love this club and I hold anyone in contempt who does not think it is worth fighting for.

OK, but no need to slag the coach after being a Nicks poster for five minutes, this has been happening far too much on here lately,by newbies, who don't seem to realise we have the most massive injury list in the League, along with the Lions, who also are really struggling to find form.

1 was able to be a key player in a premiership and the other has been the captain and coach of two of our worst eras.
I think you're rewriting history there. Our 'worst era' with Buckley as captain included two grand final appearances, playing finals in 06 and 07 and a finishing very close to finals in other years. Our only shocking years were 99 and 2000, immediately after he took over. If anything, Buckleys captaincy coincided with the long term rebuild of the entire club.

52% time in forward half.

How many PA goals were kicked from inside the goalsquare?

We dominated ruck taps (rare), but mids let us down.

Adams out and Crisp quiet really hurt our drive off half back.

Reid and Howe solid down back, but not Frost's best game.

Oxley, Goodyear, Cloke and Crocker will be under selection pressure although we are limited in options to replace them.

Time to debut Phillips pretty soon.

7 years out of finals and a Wooden Spoon was our worst ever onfield era. Buckley was part of that.

I really find this scapegoating of Cloke by Buckley and the club as very poor. The guy has carried us for years, he is a premiership player and he has been competing against 2 defenders for years because Nathan can't setup a forward line.

He has a premiership medal and I'll always remember him more fondly than Buckley.

28 disposals @ 78.6 efficiency (best, other than Smith's 81 and Sidey's 80).

His other 10 games must've been scintillating.
I disagree. This was just one of 3 or 4 games where he's been part of the problem, rather tha part of the solution. Lots of disposals but too few kicks and not enough damage done.
Spot On. Got Lot of the Ball but Was not very Damaging with his Disposal

It doesn't help our structure, given the huge injury list - majority IMPACT injury.

It also doesn't help when 3 footballers with no footy IQ are in the backline:

- Toovey
- Sinclair
- Frost

That's not Buckley's fault as he alone is not on the selection committee.

I like the way Taylor Adams leads. He is fast becoming a Captaincy favourite for the future.[/search]

I was going to say the same thing. Is there any club in the A.F.L where the supporters influence the direction the club is heading in?
