Blues may move on Dimattina

The AFL might not have seen the last of Paul Dimattina, who reluctantly parted company with the Western Bulldogs on Tuesday destined, it seemed, for retirement.

Carlton coach Denis Pagan spoke to Dimattina within hours of his departure from Whitten Oval becoming known and the 28-year-old said yesterday that he was prepared to nominate for the draft if a realistic opportunity to continue his 131-game career existed.
As if you would recruit Paul Dimmatina. Carlton are kidding themselves if they recruit this bloke, he is nothing more than a struggler.

Well they went sort of the right way in the draft for going for younger blokes: Scoots, Teague etc. Now they just have to even the ledger up by going back to the old recruiting manual. Recruiting old hacks!!!

DIMMA

Post by clokeysneighbour »

I am related to Paul and as he has already been to Carlton Richmond and Essendon he and his family are far more interested in their ever increasing restaurant business (read Il gambero club 292 Blue Train SouthBank and Dimattinas both in Lygon Street and Southport QLD ) Than to go BACKWARDS TO THE FILTH!!!
He is dirty on Westernbacksides for not allowing him to obtain life membership. He made the most out of his footballing ability as he would be the first to tell you. He is also 60% deaf and made the most of this some would say "disability" . He and his family thrive on HARD WORK. It is not only the Bulldogs loss but footballs!

All the best in retirement Paul
but if some other club needs you (read Hawthorn) I know you will give 100%

Regards

Anthony

Agent 59 from Southport, at the Gold Coast tells me Carlton are interested in not only Paul Dimmatina, but his brother Andrew as well.
Stay tuned for further information.
Agent 59 is still positioned at Southport Sharks club and Agent 32 is on his way to Optus Oval.

I've heard of desparation but drafting both Dimmatinas is absolutely ridiculous ... can't wait to see the Blues next year! Hahahaha.

Sorry mate, I guess with a name like Dimmatina they would either be Friars or Marcellin boys!
