Fair enough, I'll also gladly concede I'm a little hot under the collar tonight, so some of my posts may seem a little pointed.think positive wrote:Maybe I missed something! Hehe cheers, I just reread it! And now I see the sarcasm bit, sorry! Your hot under the collar, I was frozen when I wrote it! Just got out of. 52 degree sauna to warm the cold MCG bones, and a cold scotch to mend my magpie heart! Cheers, but I don't want no lollipop! I want a new coach!Collingwood Crackerjack wrote:Fair enough, I'll also gladly concede I'm a little hot under the collar tonight, so some of my posts may seem a little pointed.think positive wrote:Maybe I missed something! And props to you, and all the other diehards, who showed up today; a very good crowd given the circumstances.think positive wrote:Hehe cheers, I just reread it! And now I see the sarcasm bit, sorry! You are better men and women than I am, even if I lived in Melbourne I think I may have passed

Was definitely better than he played against Port Adelaide. But really, he should be playing VFL footy at the moment. We are gifting him games and that is bad for the team. Brayshaw was a higher draft pick than De Goey and Brayshaw has been playing VFL footy. De Goey will be an AFL footballer eventually but he first needs to correct a number of aberrations in his game, which you can only do by playing VFL footy.Collingwood Crackerjack wrote:I actually thought he was a bit better this week than previous weeks...but then again I didn't rate Blair as the halftime BOG, so what do I know?thompsoc wrote:I am not going to moan about the result.
But I would like to point out a few things.
1. De Goey is a dud.
I have watched him closely this year and he has one big big issue.
He fumbles often when not under pressure and a lot when under big pressure.
His disposal is poor both by hand and foot when uner any sort of pressure.

Earlier in the last quarter today we were still a chance to win, slim but a chance, Last week we were gone early in the the third quarter.Seth wrote:WTF. our coach just said we weren't as poor as last week. You tool. If you think today had some positives you're f***ing fooling yourself.
Go away now.
Bucks is right, we were better today but still far from good enough.
If you think we were worse than last week maybe you might want to re-assess that.

I'd agree, but probably academic at this stage.kymbo5@yahoo.com.au wrote:Earlier in the last quarter today we were still a chance to win, slim but a chance, Last week we were gone early in the the third quarter.Seth wrote:WTF. our coach just said we weren't as poor as last week. Port ran the top 4 doggies to half a goal, so they are a pretty good team, probs a lot better than the Dees

Tell yer what, that umpiring today was damn shithouse, just how many frees did the precious deeees get right within goal, we got sweet bugger all within our goals, and many were very dicey for them. Disgusting umpiring effort, but why am I not surprised at this constant bullshit by umps with us ???? The game is what it is, a nearly full strength deees team, against an injury riddled Pies outfit, a second string, imagine the difference with guys like swan, Elliott, taylor adams, moore, fasolo, ramsay, out there, would be a vastly different game I reckon. It is what it is, a very forgettable ruined season. Roll on next year, and hopefully better times.

Not saying we were worse, but don't tell me we were better. We lost, we lost in the second quarter and any effort was quickly snuffed out with pathetic and dismal skills and players who can't hit the side of a barn in front of goal, happens week in, week out. That is an indictment on our coaching across all the lines, the defense is a shambles, the midfield can't with a contested ball or stoppage and the forwards can only manage 8 goals a game and can't quick straight.kymbo5@yahoo.com.au wrote:Earlier in the last quarter today we were still a chance to win, slim but a chance, Last week we were gone early in the the third quarter.Seth wrote:WTF. our coach just said we weren't as poor as last week. If you truly think that a coach who has taken us backwards since 2012 with no real hope for the future at the moment like other clubs i.e. Carlton, Melbourne is a good thing that you're happy to accept you might want to re-assess that. But good luck cause I've had enough, I want to vomit now when I listen to him speak rubbish. They don't play for him anymore. We have no leaders.

The coach was right. There was more endeavour and effort by the players than there was last week. But in my opinion, we don't structure up the way we need to and we don't have any grand strategic plan to kick a winning score against any opposition. I don't think we can beat anyone the way we are playing because we lack the belief to win. We just turn up hoping to win and don't take our chances and against good opposition, that's tantamount to suicide. The players are there. That's the first step. Phillips looks like a player with a heap of potential. Marsh is a good player. He should have been playing in the senior team before now (should have replaced Toovey). I think we have great potential as a group to play much better than we are, but for one reason or another, the football department isn't getting the best out of the playing group. I'm not interested in scapegoating any particular individual amongst the coaching group, but enough is enough and changes need to be made to make us competitive again. Whether that entails Buckley modifying his game plan to adapt to the changing game I don't know. But this season needs to be put to rest and the remainder of this season is about preparing for 2017.Seth wrote:WTF. our coach just said we weren't as poor as last week. You tool.
