^I did refer to your post, but as you know I strongly separate public politics from private life. I acknowledged the emotions are real, I just don't see how lessening the discipline of keeping the personal and public apart helps.
Anyhow, I was just having a shower and came to this conclusion: Footy is about to start, and I've done my political tours of duty. And so, I'm going to rule a line under those last Brexit thoughts, and leave the political discourse, outside direct actions I'm involved in, to others.
I'm going to go mainstream for a while, and make some money. Meanwhile, I'm getting back into urban geography first to enjoy it as a hobby, and second to see if I can throw a few ideas at some urban issues.
So, breathe easy I shall see you in lighter threads for entertainment and everyday life talk henceforth!

In the end the rain comes down, washes clean the streets of a blue sky town.

The EU referendum is being held this week in the UK with various polls showing it's too close to call on what will transpire on Thursday.
I wonder if the shooting of Labour MP Jo Cox last week will have an impact on the final results?

Just one more beer? I did google itLondon Dave wrote:It's on tomorrow... if I was a betting man, I'd probably have a quid on out, though I'm a remain myself.
Early exit polls have it the exit vote is slightly ahead although within margin of error.

I support the UK leaving the EU, but I actually think the UK will remain in the EU however, so we have opposite positions.London Dave wrote:It's on tomorrow... if I was a betting man, I'd probably have a quid on out, though I'm a remain myself.
I feel that many people are always resistant to change and prefer to stick to the status quo but we will see what happens soon enough.

Early results are suggesting that the UK will leave the EU. Still plenty of votes to count, though:
