Does anybody think Marcus Picken (delisted by Bulldogs) is worth selecting with our final pick?
He would of course be insurance for the backline in the event of a horror-run with injuries. I beleive we passed on him under father-son rule in 1997, and chose James Wasley instead to give us some run.

From what I have heard we will not use picks 64 and 80 and I highly doubt we would waste pick 35 on Marcus. There is better talent than him in the Pre-season draft also

Why wouldn't we use our last 2 picks? Pre-Season Draft is looking a little boring at this stage, just a lot of hacks.

Well for starters we only have 5 spots left on the list and 6 picks so 80 becomes irrelevent. Then if are are going to take a player from the pre-season draft which from all reports looks very likely we need to pass on pick 64 which would be a very low percentage of picking up a decent kid from there anyway in a shallow draft.

If we pick up Marcus Picken we may as well book our September end of season trip now!

Hang on, I'm not totally sure how it works. But wouldn't Picken enter the Pre-season draft, and not the National Draft (usually the kids draft)? That means we won't use those picks, doesn't it?

If we are to use a pick in the pre-season draft rather than the National we would use picks 17, 32, 35 and 38 and pass on pick 64 which becomes pick 15 in the National draft (effectively around 7 however).

i think the rules are that delisted players cant go into the preseason draft only the national. preseason is a draft for out of contract players only
