[Dave The Man]

His great asset last night was an ability to pick the ball off the carpet in one fluid movement and take it away from a contested situation. That sounds like the skill of a clearance player to me. He is going to be very, very good.

He is very clean player

People quickly forget that he had virtually no pre season, due to injury, and is playing with new teammates, a new coach, and new system. Likewise Treloar, though he has maturity and genuine a grade ability already.

Always Looked smooth when he had it, v good skills and a good pedigree. They can't all be like Selwood and kill it from game one. He'll play just as many games though.

Needs to keep progressing, as the game requires big bodied mids, and at his size, he needs to be keeping players like Bair out.

You need to have players who keep getting the ball and can pound it forward to a target. Aish however is in a totally different category. A taste of what he can do is that 50 meter goal off one step. Few other players can do what he does. One day at training I watched him screw the ball from 50 meters out from the boundary line straight through the middle of the goals. Those sorts of things mean the difference between just making up the numbers in the bottom half of the ladder, or taking you to the next level of competing for a premiership. Daisy Thomas had those same qualities of a player that Aish has.

Just keeps improving every week as he gains some confidence he belongs in this team. Very happy with his progress to date.

Not sure about him potentially being better than Treloar but happy that there would be some indecision about which is the better player in years to come.

Said on BF that I actually think he's brought more to the team in his first season than Adams did when he arrived. If he can match the growth of Adams as a footballer we'll all be very very happy.

I think Bucks deserves some credit when he sent Aish back to the Reserves for a month. I think it is fair to say that he, the coaching group and the fans were quite shocked about his early aversion to "contested possession" and as such sent him back to work on this deficiency.

Since his return, it's obvious that he has addressed this shortfall and been excellent over the last month. Bucks hasn't been given much kudos in the wider media for this. Can't help but compare Damien Hardwick's allowance of letting Brandon Ellis run around free for 4 years collecting cheap ball on the half back line. Come finals time, the last 3 years he has been exposed!

I'd add to that the way Bucks sent Fasolo back to the VFL and played him on the backline for a while and how he has turned Jesse White into a genuine AFL player, after playing him in defence in the VFL too. That's 3 players who have had their careers turned around by astute coaching. Well done Bucks.

Absolutely. Maybe Oxley is the next in line. Being played forward in the Reserves last week. Adaptability I guess is the key in modern day footy.

He's grown in confidence which required patience along with adapting to a new club environment and letting old habits from Brisbane diminish.

I have no doubt he will be a great recruit in the long-term. He's starting to show glimpses why the club was eager to recruit him at the end of last year.
