Well Richmond are a very good football team......
Well preseason they were touted as a contender, as were Freo so not sure what that means.
Sigh.....I was juxtaposing the football cliche that our previous coach used after a loss next to the current coaches favourite after loss cliche, in an attempt to draw to reader to see parallels between the 2 situations, and by seeing those parallels, reflect on the possibility that the perhaps the only major difference between the 2 was that Malty got us into finals on a regular basis, whereas Nathan has been unable to do so.

Something like that anyway

The positive thing is, there's only 3 more weeks & we can look forward to Spring & the warmer weather.

Yet another Jekyll and Hyde performance from a team going nowhere fast. Undid all the great work of last week. Insipid skills and an ineffective game plan. Playing off your man and guarding space doesn't work against teams quicker than you. I thought you would've figured that out by now bucks. Delivery going forward was rubbish and blew many chances. Wel will be lucky to get 60,000 members next year.

71 tackles we had

Tigers had 53. Go figure.

I agree with what you're saying though, but I do like real stats :)
Get back on top.

Right on the money. We have turned a simple game into a complicated mess.

All the comments on the zone are spot on. The players look completely lost in the zone. Our Man on Man is bloody good. I understand we can't play it all game but surely it's the go to when the other team is playing keeping's off easily.

Irrespective of whether we play zone or man-on-man, players will still peel off their player to intercept a player moving down the ground. Every team does it. When we do it well we can beat teams like GWS and Geelong, when we don't we get beaten by teams like Richmond. All comes down to work rate.

Cheers.

I must have looked at the board at the G at 3/4 time & that stuck in my head. My bad for not fact checking before posting.

That'd be nice, a quick spruce up, carpets cleaned, a splash of paint, maybe some new IT and furnishings... nice thought Dyso.
