National Draft

Post by DG »

Hi all, just thought I'd ask if anyone has heard of any potential targets in the upcoming draft, the reason I ask is that I know a young ruckman personally who made the all Australian side, Mark Jamar he is a good kid has great parents and his dad played around 300 games in the local league (also a ruckman) I have heard that the Hawthorn talent scouts have been watching him in Adelaide, has anyone else heard of any targets?

There is a few young players over here in Adelaide that will go very early on in the draft. As im a Port fan ill mainly talk of their young players

James Wilson 20 - Port Magpies...Michael Wilsons (Port Power) brother and has the same skill and speed as Michael. A wingmen who has pace and has a very good kick.

Corey AhChee 20 - Port Magpies...state full back 2 years running and is probably the best Full Back in SA. Is strong and quick...he reminds me a lot of Silvagni how he moves and how he plays (minus the scragging).

Nathan Mcdowall 20 - Port Magpies...a young forward flank/rover who has a long straight kick and is tough. Plays like Matthew Lappin but is a LOT stronger.

Shane Holmes 19 - Port Magpies...another young midfielder/wingmen who has a lot of skill but just lacks the polish at this stage.

Brett Ebert 18 - Port Magpies...son of football legend Russel Ebert will be top 10 pick.

others from Port would be David Green (tall defender), Brenton Bascombe (small defender), Jared Illet (rover, back pocket),

Sam Logan - Glenelg - small forward who has starred in all his games so far.

Mark Jamar 17 - North Adelaide - all australian ruckmen

Heath Hopwood 23 - Centrals...one of the best defenders in this state

Yves Sibenalar 22 - Centrals...tall forward who can take a strong mark

Scott Hahn 23 West - good young player who used to play for Port...strong tough small forward/rover who kicks a lot of goals

Simon Munn, David Oliver both from west

Brant Chambers 21 Sturt - very strong marking forward
Jade Sheedy 21 Sturt - young midfielder

I also know someone that lives across the street who i used to play with called Denis Iljeson - hes only 17 or 18 and is hot property at the moment. Every teams scouts have spoken to him and i heard from a mate that they reckon he will be a top 10 pick as well. He is a full forward/half forward, very strong witha good kick.

Well done Macca, very interesting, I too am a South Australian although I do not follow the SANFL, but I have heard that Mark Jamar (NA) will be in the top 5 picks as it stands at the moment
