Brayden may have been the 6th best player week in week out (theoretically). The others had 'top 5 on ground' standout performances to grab more votes. Hence why Brownlow medalists don't always win club B&F.

fair enough.
In any case, backmen get a pretty rough deal in the Nick's BB voting (as they do in most AFL awards), so good call, I guess! (Though I still would have gone for Smith over Maynard, just).

Yeah, it's a no unfortunately. We made a fair push to get it done a few years ago (even to the extent of running a PayPal account to collect money for a trophy), but it never quite came together. From memory, the club didn't show a great deal of interest.

Does anyone know whether he had injury (niggles) concerns thru out the year?
He was hampered with hamstring troubles before the start of the home and away season, so it's possible that this affected him more than we anticipated.
Also with higher expectations after a good season in 2015, this may have resulted in supporters critiquing him more harshly and hence him not polling as well as the previous year.
