wouldn't mind what happened to that 1976 team. Didn't we play in 5 of the next 6 grand finals?Mugwump wrote:If the players were not committed they would not have performed as they did in the last few rounds. He seems to think Buckley got rid of anyone with personality. What he isn't taking into account is what were these players with personality were doing in house. If it is anything like I saw on the field, which was playing like big heads, then that may be your answer.

After Murray Weideman was sacked at the end of '76 and Tommy Hafey brought in, yes :/E wrote:wouldn't mind what happened to that 1976 team. Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.
As I said to my friends at the time we were losing those grand finals, I'd rather lose 4 grand finals in 5 years than finish 12th each year!
Maybe we would have won more of those grand finals if we had of kept Murray Weideman instead of getting tommy hafey. At least Murray weideman wouldn't have killed our chances to win the replay by flogging our team on the training track the week after the draw.

Surely you mean Andrew WK?Cam wrote:AndrewT is a bit rough and edgy, but is worth listening to.
Mooretreloar is much more refined and polished, and is also worth listening to.
