That's interesting you have Wells starting down forward. I have him in the centre of the ground in the midfield rotations.mooretreloar wrote:Disagree Pies4Shaw.Pies4shaw wrote:We lack a forward line, DTM - not just the pressure.
Adelaide supposedly has the best forward line in the league with:
Walker, Jenkins, Lynch, Betts, McGovern and Cameron.
Our likely starting forward line fitness permitting:
Moore, Cox, Elliott, Fasolo, Mayne, Wells.
Granted I would like a small forward and I think Broomhead can play that role, but the forward line that I have listed for us is very dangerous and for mine compares nicely to Adelaide's.
My starting forward line is Moore, Cox, Elliot, Fasolo, White and De Goey.
I'm not convinced that Mayne is going to start half forward, just as I was never convinced that Howe was going to start at half forward. I love the defensive pressure that Mayne applies. That's why I'd like to see Mayne start on the wing or half back.
De Goey made his career in the TAC at half forward kicking bags of goals at a time. It's not a question of if he makes it, but when he makes it, so I have him as one of our starting forwards.

Agree Wells will be part of the midfield rotation, but I can't see him being in the starting rotation. I think he will play predominantly high half forward, as his delivery inside 50 is so good. 2nd best inside 50 deliverer in the comp behind Pendles in 2016.
I have Pendles, Treloar, Adams, as our best centre square three, Sidey on one wing and Hoskin-Elliott on the other wing.
De Goey, Crisp, Aish, Broomhead and Wells as part of the midfield rotation.
De Goey and Broomhead will also be part of the forward line rotation.

We don't have Mayne or Wells, yet, it remains to be seen whether Elliott will be able to stand unassisted by the time the season starts and Cox is still a player with "potential". Moore and Fasolo are obvious starters - it's just the rest of the forward line that worries me. I'd quite like a CHF (I don't want Moore to take that pounding, yet), a classy small-forward, a top-quality goal-kicking second ruck and a HFF. Recruiting and returns from injury might sort most of this out - but it's dangerous to be too optimistic in the planning phase.mooretreloar wrote:Disagree Pies4Shaw.Pies4shaw wrote:We lack a forward line, DTM - not just the pressure.

Totally agree. Want the tigers to think they've 'trumped' us after we beat them to Ads Treloar last year.jatsad wrote:C'mon Tiges. Steal that "big" fish from the pies for once.Dave The Man wrote:Little bit of Talk that Tigers are having a Late Run at Mayne
Save us from ourselves.
Don't want him. Don't need him.
Waste of a list position and cap space.
