Make the Kennel sweat over Cloke, they want him, let the bastards ante up then, none of this penny andy stuff, let it run its course till Friday, if need be. !

61 seems more likely, now they have 35 and 43 more likely they will be willing to give up 61, than the pick in the 70's they initially offered. Probably will also depend on what they get from the Saints for Koby Stevens, if that is a 3rd rounder, increases the chances again that they will give up 61.Rush Stand Wing wrote:Dogs get 35, 43 & 61 for Hamling and give up 40 & 63.
Maybe we get 35 ? hah

Since they really do not need him, and will only have him as a backup I doubt they are going to sweat much. Though Travis might start sweating a bit, I still find it funny that he will be nothing more than a backup on less money.Piesnchess wrote:Make the Kennel sweat over Cloke, they want him, let the bastards ante up then, none of this penny andy stuff, let it run its course till Friday, if need be. !
But good luck Trav.

I still find it bloody amazing that not one club other than the dogs has any interest in a big gorilla who is still one of the best contested marks in the league and could quite comfortably slot 30+ goals for the season. Especially when you see some of the other hacks that are getting a gig elsewhere.RudeBoy wrote:Our problem is that the Dogs don't really need Cloke, whereas we need to get rid of him to provide the salary cap space for new players. Unfortunately no other club has expressed any interest in Cloke at all, which means we have virtually no bargaining power.

Quite a few of us have considered Cloke to be quite ordinary for the last couple of years and now it seems the rest of the football world agrees with our assessment. Basically we are giving him away for nothing. It seems that nothing is what he is worth.Damien wrote:I still find it bloody amazing that not one club other than the dogs has any interest in a big gorilla who is still one of the best contested marks in the league and could quite comfortably slot 30+ goals for the season. Interesting take - Mitchel(S) was traded for equivalent of pick 60-odd... as a reigning best and fairest winner of a top 4 side - yes he's 32; and Lewis (28?) was also traded for an equivalent 60-odd pick as a runner up best and fairest...
What grounds would we have in asking any club for much more than this for a player who is (arguably) not in our best 22?
This is a salary dump and nothing more. If we get points that can be used then it's a bonus.

Yeah most likely or an exchange of picks.mooretreloar wrote:61 seems more likely, now they have 35 and 43 more likely they will be willing to give up 61, than the pick in the 70's they initially offered. So its looking like Keefe or Dunn at FB...if and when required. We could do worse.
We could probably do worse than Dunn at full back, but I just can't think who that would be.Rush Stand Wing wrote:Yeah most likely or an exchange of picks.mooretreloar wrote:61 seems more likely, now they have 35 and 43 more likely they will be willing to give up 61, than the pick in the 70's they initially offered. ... and yet that's the reality. Cloke is a classic case of our supporters over-valuing a player.Damien wrote:I still find it bloody amazing that not one club other than the dogs has any interest in a big gorilla who is still one of the best contested marks in the league and could quite comfortably slot 30+ goals for the season. If we're to go back to the general commentary on this board through the season, Brown or Frost?RudeBoy wrote:We could probably do worse than Dunn at full back, but I just can't think who that would be.Rush Stand Wing wrote:Yeah most likely or an exchange of picks.mooretreloar wrote: 61 seems more likely, now they have 35 and 43 more likely they will be willing to give up 61, than the pick in the 70's they initially offered. The match day thread is for unfiltered BS knee jerk reactions. The time for level headed comment comes after.
