was a bit of creative license on my part.
Not quite baiting but still a little fishing.
My point is this.
Whenever Blairs worth to the club comes up.
We get he was a member of the flag team of 2010.
Nothing is ever mentioned about his horror game of 2011
nor that he was really only average in 2010.
It is 2017 next year and the hobbit has dined out on 2010 for far too long.
For the record Blair got 22 disposals in 3 grand final matches over 2010 and 2011.
That is an average of 7 disposals per game.
You can put lipstick on a pig but it is still a pig.
Blair is not an AFL standard player.
He belongs in the VFL.

Being wrong is not really "creative license" or "fishing". However, on the substance of your post, I don't really disagree with you. Blair is a solid ordinary player who puts in and plays his role (and there is no harder role on the ground than small forward) , but he is at the lower end of our best 22, and hopefully we will have better players coming through who can displace him in that role.

It's just that the statement (made by several people) "we will not win finals with this bloke" is fact-free, absolutely 100% demonstrably untrue, and it should not go unchallenged.
