Interesting...

Currie, 25, told the ABC he had a good case to fight the charges, but he did not want to comment further while the matter was under investigation.

QRIC said the only other instance of a Queensland horse testing positive for methamphetamine was in Mackay in October 2015.

Trainer Cassandra Marsh was fined $5,000 after providing sufficient evidence that her horse, Island Tang, had been in contact with a habitual user of methamphetamine.

Currie fined this week in separate matter

It is the second serious charge for Currie in his five-year career as a trainer.

On Wednesday, he was found guilty and fined $6,000 by the QRIC after his horse Tints tested positive for the banned substance boldenone in Rockhampton on April 8.

Boldenone is defined as a synthetic steroid hormone resembling testosterone in its ability to promote the growth of muscle.

Currie said he would appeal that ruling.

"I think we had some good points that we brought to the table, and I feel like we've got a good chance further down the track to win the case on appeal and clear the charge," he said.

I was stuffing letterboxes for the Australian Sex party a few years ago in Caulfield. I put one in the letterbox of a trainer (I won't name him) and he asked me what it was about. He laughed and said "Legalise marijuana ,you had better give 20.It is the only thing my stablehands will read beside a form guide.".

Good luck with the appeal.

Good Decision. I reckon JH will jump at around 40-1. I will have it in my trifecta. Andreini should be thereabouts if it jumps cleanly. Sharreada and Kamuro. I will box the 4 for $20. :D Good luck. I hope JH wins and I get it. :P

Missed the start by 8 lengths, runs the fastest 1400m of the day to finish 6.5 lengths from the winner.

Another jockey who failed to follow instructions.... he's sacked and so is Joy if she doesn't perform in the mile race next week.

And no, she will NOT be pet food!
I have a choice of 2 good homes for her if need be.

Joy has been retired. She's in a big paddock with a couple of other horses and some sheep in Geraldton. She strained a suspensory ligament and retirement was our only option.

I've bought into another one. Novative - a Street Cry gelding who we think will get over some ground. Ran a 2 length 4th in his first trial for us today at Toowoomba. Will be running in the next week or 2.

Invitto is back in work and us about 4 or 5 weeks away from her next start. She spelled really well and is doing some solid work.
