Final night, about 65 km's. Queensland does not know how to pave roads. Course & rough roads. Shitful to ride on. However, Cycle Queensland is far more flexible & better organised than Victoria. Last 44 kms tomorrow. I'm done, time for my own bed & loo. .

Ride completed. left at 6 am & 43km ride. Joined a group of three older than me & good riders. We were motoring doing about 28 - 35 km's on the flatter parts of the road. Really helped me to get to Hervey Bay quickly. Getting into Hervey bay before8.20 meant I could shower (cold), box the bike, get bags on the bus in a quick time, contribute to the Rotary Clubs fundraiser: sausage sizzle, egg & bacon roll, can of soft drink etc.
Now on the bus to the airport for a flight home. Met some lovely people on the ride. Have a good one. I'm looking fwd to a beer. Only had 2 lights on the trip.
Go pies

Cheers folks.
Got back home this morning at about 1.15am.
Given I was up nearly 24 hour hours post ride I forced Mrs WPT onto the sofa - slept heavily shall we say. I think she wants me back on the ride.
Now for the harder part. I need to shed 8-10 kg not through exercise per se but reducing the amount I eat. Lite n easy or Jenny Craig to get me started or just will power.
I have to do it, now I need to change that to I want to do it. Nice words....

What are you tipping the scales at, if it's not a rude question?watt price tully wrote:Cheers folks.

You've got the frame to comfortably carry 100kg IMO and like TP said, if you can do that bike ride you can't be too unfit.
