I think we're lacking a big hulking forward who can stand under a high ball, that can be used as a decoy so Moore doesn't get the best defender.

Jpies wrote:Such a disappointing night. I really don't understand how any team can be that bad with the ball in front of goal. It seemed like the skill errors were contagious too- once our bad goal kicking had set in, it spread around the ground from the middle of the third quarter.

A few players looked very hesitant. Our pressure wasn't quite as good as last week, and we didn't seem to tackle quite as hard. That summary excludes Goldsack, who clearly did everything he could to keep us in the game.

FWIW I'm not convinced Schade has the ability to become a first 22 player. Blair (who I was very harsh on last week) didn't stuff up nearly as much, but was a bit of a witches hat. Next to no impact despite his efforts, which can't be argued with. Maynard and Ramsay still prone to silly errors.

Moore was a bit of a worry tonight. He's had good defenders, but his confidence looked down right from the start. Couldn't even get near the ball.

Was happy with the following: White, Goldsack, Treloar, Adams, Pendles, Reid, Grundy, Howe.

Anyway, enough of these ramblings. Time to go and forget about the loss until next week!
Blair Witchs hat alright!

There's a bloke at the Bulldogs who may fit the role, if the price is right.....

No point crying over split milk, but... Travis Cloke. Was in no way worse than either White or Cox last year and I think hard done by. I am far more optimistic of Buckley than many posters around here, but his apparent inability to work with and help Cloke get through whatever was up with him, is costing us.

Just feel very sad and deflated right now. Pendlebury is an absolute superstar and one of the best ever to wear black and white, but we've wasted his extraordinary talent for the best part of the last six years.

Nathan is also one of the club's all-time greats. But to be a great player does not automatically make you a great coach. For everything good Eddie McGuire has done for this club, his unfortunate main legacy will be that he believed in Nathan Buckley to a fault. And in the process, brought down a potential dynasty.

Of course Buckley won't go after two games. And neither he should. But tonight showed, once and for all, that he is not the man to lead this club. We are just going to have to put up with mediocrity for a couple more months until they finally end this disastrous chapter in the club's history.

Monco Matt wrote:Worst performance under Bux. Horrible skills, shocking goal kicking and so so so many passengers. Crisp, Maynard, Sidebottom, Blair, Moore, Fasolo, Broomhead, Smith, Schade, White, Adams (over-rated hack IMO) Ramsay, the list goes on, all fall in and out of games. Only Grundy, Treloar, Pendles, Howe, Reid & WHE can hold their heads high.

Never want to see Crisp again. Slow, skillless and a deadset coward over the ball.

A dark day for our club. This was total shit!
Agree about Adams. But we overrate so many of our players. Crisp poor, Blair absent, Broomhead one great goal then nothing, Moore poor, Sidebottom not as good as he should be, White next to nothing, Schade ok. Aish poor. Mayne poor.

Said exactly the same as the bolded last week; its a god damn shame the way we have wasted his ability, a bloody criminal waste of potential.
