FWIW.
I was never a fan of the coaching transition and timing. So I didn't want bucks to coach this era at all. I thought he should have waited 5 years. Not saying he can't coach but a fresh lot of players after the 2010 premiership team had retired. Starting now would have been better for all.
However, I struggle to see how last night was his fault. We should have put that game away in the second quarter and some of the costly and stupid turnovers cost us badly. Those things are beyond the coaches box.

I've left my commenting until the morning after, hoping against hope it would have been an aberration or, like Bucks is future coach, stated,he missed the second half because of a power failure, which we did have in Maroochydore, but it lasted only 10 minutes before the first bounce.
Of course the scene was eerily set early once again with the Pathetic kick by Schade while resulted in the first goal to Richmond and during the night he cost us another 2 goals through absolute brain farts and poor decision making.WTF is DUNN???Many have questioned why Blair is still playing for this club let alone last night. Last week he cost us the game ,last night he was not only a passenger, he was a stranger and his days MUST be numbered now..I can't for the life of me see what people wet their pants about over Broomhead..After that goal he must have thought he'd done his job. Can't play Goldsack anymore can we??? Kept Reiwolt quiet for a bit and then THAT 3rd qtr.Can we ever forget it.Reiwolt kicks 3 in 8 mins and Goldsack gives 2 more away with his brain fart disposal.Darcy Moore.Back to the. 2's where someone can teach him to kick and stop prancing around like a show pony. It's football buddy.Fasolo should have been dragged and left on the bench.Absolute disgrace too the GAME no less the club and the Guernsey.A Wanker who thinks he's better than he is.
Is there ANYONE who can tell me why we continually tap the ball backwards??As good asGrundy played, when he palmed the ball into the path of the free richmond player in their own 10 mar square and goaled , you really need to question their mental capacity and while I'm on Grundy, after kicking a goal from 55 and it travelled at least 60,WHY??? when you are on the 50 would you pass to someone surrounded by the opposition and stuff it up as predicted?? Anyone???I take back what I said about Ramsay. Sharra needs to come in.DUNN needs to come in.Blair ,Ramsay,Moore and Goldsack OUT!!!And last bust not least,Adams,as per Monco Matt is overrated and his first effort of a clearance which went straight up in the air and sideways to the corridor and resulted in a goal, piss poor mate.Get back to what you do best, whatever that is.Bye Bye Buckley.Never thought I'd say it but something is seriously wrong at Collingwood.

Everyone is hurting that we lost and the easiest target is the coach. It is a cop out. The reasons that we lost that game last night do not include the coach.
The reasons why we lost that game last night were all on field and out of his control. You are kidding yourselves, in fact you need to wake up to yourselves, when we make a skill error that it is his fault, when we miss a shot for goal that it is his fault and when we make incorrect decisions it is his fault.
If the players had done their job and executed properly the game would have been done halfway through the third quarter.

It's fact.
The coach is a large part responsible for the list assembled with the head recruiter. He is also head of the selection committee every week. When a team is filled with grunt players with little skill and X Factor, that reflects on him.
He's had 5 years to get it right. It isn't working. Move on, accept defeat and appoint someone with half a clue.

I am not going to waste my time and energy arguing with you, except to re-iterate we did not lose that game last night because of Nathan Buckley.MarkOSuv wrote:No.mooretreloar wrote:^^

If we did I would type that we did. If the players were not playing for him I would type that his time is up, but both games in 2017 show that they are playing for him.
Coaches have next to zero impact on the result of a game on game day. You and others are kidding yourselves if you think otherwise. The game was lost by highly paid professional athletes not doing their job properly, end of story and my last post on this topic.

He's had 5 years to bed our issues down. The same poor structures, foot skills and dysfunction exist.
Anyone who still defends him is a club plant.
Maybe a cactus?

The fact is this.. he has had 6 years to build a team of his choice. He has let go that much leadership because of his inability to control big personalities. Of course it's not he's fault with disposal out on the ground, but it is he's fault with the list HE has created. The quicker he goes the better. Get on it Ed!mooretreloar wrote:Sorry mate, that is not even close to being correct. However, you are entitled to your opinion, but it would be good if you backed up your opinion with the reasons he was to blame for tonight's loss, rather than taking the easy way out with a generic statement. What did he to make him solely responsible for the loss? What moves did he not make? What moves did he make that were wrong? Which kick, handball or decision on field did he fail to execute to required level?The_Staunton wrote:He should get a lot of blame, we've been losing the same way for 5 seasons and 2 games...mooretreloar wrote:Back from the game and I haven't been as disappointed after a game for a long time.
The first half from both sides was horrible football. The skill level and decision making was as bad as I ever seen from 2 AFL sides.
For the second week in a row we cost ourselves the game by a) missing gimme shots at goal (four to five goals) and b) gifting Richmond goals through skill errors and terrible decision making (four to five goals). We lost by 19 points.
The Mayne miss after the sensational tackle on Rance in the 3rd quarter was the game changer. He kicks that goal from 15 metres out, we go 17 points up with all the momentum. He missed and they score the next two goals and the momentum was with them.
We struggled to run the game out following the six day break and a very physical and tough game against the Dogs. Whereas, the Tigers were coming off a 7 day break and an easy game on the body against the Blues.
In saying all that we should be beating Richmond no matter the circumstances.
This loss is not on Buckley, but on the players, who are professional athletes and are paid very well to do their job. However, I am not surprised on here that it is again all Buckley's fault. As I have said many times on this forum, coaches get too much credit when their team is winning and too much blame when their team is losing.
The players did not do their job properly tonight. They should be able to execute basic skills of kicking, handballing and decision making. They failed in all three elements tonight and a loss was the result. There was nothing wrong with game plan, but the execution by the players was 2 out of 10.
In conclusion, Jarryd Blair cannot play another game for the Collingwood Football Club. He has been a great servant, but the game has passed him by and I am sick and tired of playing 21 v 22 each week. We need to blood a youngster to take his place, as the youngster is the future of the club and Blair is not.
Don't respond mooretrealore, who have no idea what your talking about.

So who will come in?? Sure Sookwoldt got away from Goldsack late in the game, but he was one of the only blokes showing some decent aggression. Christ as much as I like Trealor each time he got crunched by 'diary whip' boy Cotchin where was the cavarly to have a crack at him? I agree on Ramsay the kid looks lost and we need a heap from D'Arcy but you cant drop him , he just needs to keep getting games into him.
I don't see how we come back from preseason and our skills stink it up that bad.
We can't hit targets by hand or foot. And the constant attempts to go into the corridor with our poor skills are costing us goals.
Bit sad that 2 weeks into the season and I'm already over the same tripe that the club seems to serve up.

The planning, the preparation on the training track and the practise of skill execution under pressure at training are all related to the coaching dept.
