Poster orie made to look like a fool

Why?

I've had a look as their history and yes there is a little bit of a negative feel to them, but we've been playing frustrating football recently havent we?

There's other posters on here who have said far worse things. There's been plenty of trolls over the last 2 years too.

So orie jumped the gun? Many of us did. I did.

The first half was dreadful.

But why single out this posters thread and lock it so he/she cannot reply?

Is there something satisfactory in that?

Nathan Buckley does not deserve what these players are dishing up. He played his guts out for that team and these players are soft as fairy floss.

Is there something wrong with that post? Ok, so perhaps it should have gone straight into the game thread, but why try to make a point by deleting everything else and keeping one post, then locking it to make them look foolish?

Yes the post questions the effort and called the game a nightmare. The first half was a nightmare. We all felt it.

Luckily for us it turned into a fantastic dream.

I dont care if this poster was upset. This is a bulletin board. And during game time, things are always going to be said in the heat of the moment. We're allowed to say what we want and how we feel? (Within reason of course).

Sometimes I wonder, who mods the mods.

Also I love border collies.

I was pretty upset in that first quarter and felt like crying. I know that sounds silly but I have loved the pies since I was a kid and after that terrible loss against Carlton, I just wanted to vent. And I have always been a Nathan Buckley fan too. Notice I wasn't the one calling for his head during that game.

After all these years on Nicks and reading some of the derogatory comments made on this site by several posters, I am disappointed that this has happened to me.
Perhaps I will just quit Nicks.

By the way I didn't know about the game on thread .
I am usually AT the game , so I don't usually post then, however I was home last Saturday night.

Fair points, gentleman (and woman!). Saturday night was a bit of a wrenching experience for all of us. It got to everyone, even those of us who police the joint.

Orie, we hope you continue to post here. Our apologies for any misunderstanding or crossed wires.

For future reference (and this is just a general reminder), any threads that are posted outside the Game On! thread that suddenly disappear are more likely to have been merged than deleted. We try to keep all comments on an unfolding game contained within that thread, unless we feel that there's an overriding reason why they should have their own stand-alone conversation.

Game Day/Night is always the busiest time in General and it can at times be a bit of toilet-cleaning exercise. Sometimes, we can be a bit undiplomatic in the calls we make, but we have to make them on the hop. Again, our apologies for how that particular incident went down.

PS: Border collies, like all dogs, are beautiful...
