James Aish attack on the ball tonight in a 50:50 was huge in neutralizing an important contest at a vital time. This is exactly what his career needed. Full respect!
Spot on. It was Collingwood of old and I thought it changed the game.
Get back on top.

If my memory serves me correct, I recall Aish taking quite a few courageous grabs last year.

It was a courageous as they come, and I am one poster who never question this kids ticker again.

However, I thought he had been very poor during the game, so while it may very well be 'the making of him', he's got a long, long way to go to be in our best 22 imo.

I said this in a thread about him in last weeks game. Watching the game live there were multiple occasions when he went hardest at the ball including running back with the flight eyes on the ball.
Lots of players have flash. This bloke is tough.

He displayed great courage in that contest. He can hold his head up high for that moment despite the injury he sustained.

Praise for Aish

FWIW, I thought yesterday was Aish's best game for us yet, made even more worthy, considering he was returning from a fractured cheek bone. While he is not blessed with a lot of pace, height, or physicality, he is a smart footballer with very good skills and has proven to be courageous. I'll admit I was a doubter, but I'm fast coming around to seeing a bright future for this kid at the Pies.

Agreed, no doubting he has Guts.

Can't specifically recall the plays, but there was one time on the outer wing where he made a contest in a mark, and another time when he went in and copped a whack to the head and got a free kick.

Had to take some courage taking into account what he's only just recovering from.

AFL is not for the faint of heart.
