Happy we won. I genuinely expect us to play better next week against Freo who (generally) have a good structure and is a team who we respect.

This young group seems to struggle with playing well against teams who they view as inferior.

Despite the periods of shiteness, I actually view today as a positive.

That said, I did miss the 3rd quarter thanks to Telstra.

Pro: We kicked over 100 points. Con: We managed to give up 84.

We had 134 more disposals then they did. We had 72 inside 50s to 33. Thats 39 more inside 50s!!

Sidey, Adams, Pendles, Treloar all with 30+ touches.

When you look at the stats, the bottom 11 disposal players are all Lions...

Our lowest was Moore with 12 touches, but a score of 3.2.

How was Fasolos game? 17 touches and 2.4. Looks ok, but I dont know how much impact he had.

I cant wait until we get a decent FF/CHF to team up with Moore.

I thought there was more positive than negative. Sure they didn't convert well however to get that number of shots on goal compared to the opposition tells you there was a level of dominance that I'm happy with.

Did what they had to v struggling side on a slippery deck. How good would two wins in the next two weeks be to square the ledger by the bye? Season on the line for these games. Im giving them a good chance to turn up and take the game on and sink the dockers in the west this week.

We won by 5.15. I'd say that was a win for the coaches and game plan and yet again a loss for our execution in front of goal.

We actually won or drew EVERY statistical category except of course the free kick count!

Frigging rapt that Scharenberg got through the game and played pretty well.

With him back in and Elliot playing well after 18 months out I think we have far more potential than 12 months ago

I suspect that they have said to Darcy Moore just go out and play and we will back you. This will

Fas worked hard and did good IMHO but he was basically asked to play a KP role. he led well and competed hard. 17 disposals and 6 shots at goal is a good effort for a forward. His low efficiency rate (as with Elliot) is from trying to flick off handpasses when tackled.

Put Cox back in the side and surround him with the midgets, let Fas play on someone his own size.

Don't really get the whiners, sure we can improve, varcoe and reid, for example, bring in some fresh faces. But, for chrissakes, we won by seven goals on a wet track, no pissing and moaning from me, on that score. And, two ex AFL players on the ABC, gave Sidey best on ground, so there ya go. !

When the team is expected to shit it in and at 3/4 time was on a Sunday stroll and the game looked like turning you will get the angst. When expectations are built up and the team falls short people are annoyed.

^ Well stop building up unrealistic expectations and you won't be disappointed!
People forget that our last premiership was only 2010 and rebuilds take some time. 2018 we play finals again.
