Something happening in London. Reports a van has mowed down people on London bridge, now reports of gun fire nearby, Police running into pubs telling people to get down.

Twitter has blown up. Go in and look for #londonbridge you get a news feed and running commentary covering just about every possible range of emotions and views

Scotland Yard confirm they are dealing with THREE incidents

Police are responding to three incidents in the capital, amid reports that a vehicle collided with pedestrians on London Bridge, Scotland Yard said.

Officers are dealing with reports of stabbings in Borough Market, where armed officers attended and shots were fired.

They are also at an incident in the Vauxhall area.

What I don't get is how stupid the government thinks the terrorists are. The risk level was raised to critical after Manchester. Did anyone seriously think that's when another episode would occur?

Lower the risk (collective exhale) and that's when the next incident is.

How can you predict when something like this occurs? Life goes on, I don't understand your comment here. Do you think the government should keep the risk level as critical forever? :?

True, you can't predict when something like this will happen. I suggested that you could predict when these things wouldn't happen.

There shouldn't be a risk level at all. It only creates (or adds to) a climate of greater fear IMHO.

I love a conspiracy.

Conservatives suddenly vulnerable according to the polls and this happens.

Conspiracy or not it's fair to say they'll use it for all the political benefit they can.

P.S-Surely it's time all English police carry guns. I wouldn't do the job without one.
