Gutsy win and one which will build huge confidence for the team. They all showed courage, but Goldsack's determination to stay out there with a stuffed shoulder was phucking brilliant. Anyway.......sack the coach. 8)

Shoulda won by a lot more but effort can't be questioned. Injury concerns but the 4 points is what matters. If our goal kicking clicks look out! Well done boys.

That was the Collingwood of old I grew up loving.

So proud of that performance.

The bigger picture is that the progress continues. We expected the team to explode into the light after a rebuild - instead, it is creeping intot he light now - experience, belief and continuity in the playing group mean a lot. Geez that GWS game hurts now, though. We should have won that, and if we had won it, you'd be thinking we are finals-bound.

Guts and courage. So very proud of all our boys.
Starring roles from Pendles and Treloar, with a few second tier players really standing up. Great games from WHE, Josh Smith, Jeremy Howe. Enormous courage from Goldie, Greenwood, Grundy to keep going through injury. All players thoroughly deserved this win.

Wait, what? Didn't I see him on crutches with ice all around his ankle at the end of the game?

Errr.... you didn't see him come onto the ground at the end then. Poor bugar. He's such a brilliant player, but just can't take a trick on the injury front. Maybe, he will only miss the one, with the break coming up. Hope we can get Varcoe back next week.

Two things of note from that game. The bad is that Collingwood had nearly 120 more disposals and kept Fyffe, Hill and Mundy each to single digit kicks, so the midfield destroyed its opposition without the team being able to turn that into the goals that should have come. The good is that Collingwood kicked 4 goals straight at the end of the game and suddenly it looked almost comfortable. In the last quarter, Freo kicked 2.7 and we kicked 4.2 - reverse that and we lose.
