Nick and I are off to Melbourne next week to attend the Essendon match as Eddie's guests. We hope to meet you as many of you as possible while we're there and finally put some faces to the names. We'll try and get down to the Cheer Squad during the game, but I haven't been to the footy or the MCG for so long that I'm not sure if that's possible during a game. If it is, and we're not breaking any rules of protocol, we'll be down to see those of you in and near the Cheer Squad - bugger the rules, we'll be there anyway.
More news. We have been recognised by the Club. If you check the front of the official site, you'll find a link direct to this forum - and then through magpies.net to the other forums (Hotrod's, Sly's, Northern Army etc.) - Collingwood United.
All this recognition is a bit hard to take - but we'll manage somehow
Congratulations to you both. I'm sure all on here agree it's well deserved recognition. Have a great time in Melbourne as our boys provide another dismal day for Essendon. Keep up the great work and ,as I've said before, you may not realise how important this forum is to many of us so thanks again for all your work...it is very much appreciated.
Congratulations Mike and Nick! This is a fantastic forum - you do a great job and it's about time you reap some rewards. The recognition on the Official site and your trip over here (as Eddie's guests, no less!!) are well deserved.

im sure the great people in the cheer-squad will make you feel very welcome. I'll never forget my first trip to the Collingwood cheer-squad earlier this year, its spine tingeling stuff, so much pride and passion. The people from this BB made me feel very welcome and im sure they will do the same for Nick and yourself.

Slight update on the link from the official site. It's been changed so that it links to the front page of Magpies Net. A much fairer way of doing it, so that all the Magpies Net web sites get equal exposure.

Congrats mike and nick gee who would of thought in 1995 that one day you would be invited to the footy by the president..well you deserve it and enjoy it mate.
We will have 2 seats in cheeer squad for you both if you do decide to come down which we hope you do.
