Very sorry to read this. I lived for this show when I was a kid. Vale Adam West - the one, true, authentic Batman.

There was a black and white Batman TV series before that. But Adam West version was the first in colour and had some real babes. The Batman utility belt was a must for Christmas around 1970

What I liked about West was, he
knew he was type-cast forever as Batman from 1966 onwards, but had the good grace to roll with it, and also the nous to manipulate the publicity whenever he could, via conventions and retrospective specials, to stimulate the cash flow in the latter years.
