Think him wearing his head gear might have helped his confidence during the game. That being the case he might consider wearing head gear permanently after the fractured cheek bone heals, as being a light player he risks being knocked around. I remember one head knock destroyed Caracella's career at Collingwood.

Couldn't believe he would play with that injury, let alone play as well as he did. Good on him, here's to his continued improvement!

A bit of a confidence player I reckon. Got a flying start to the game yesterday and he grew in confidence as he went.

Agreed. He's got the tools, just needs an extended run at it to get the confidence and find his role.

i think you just noticed him more because he was wearing a helmet. It was a pretty typical Aish game if you ask me. A lot of what he (and Degoey for that matter) does goes unnoticed by a lot of folks here.

He will be a gem for us as he continues to build over consecutive pre-seasons. each year you will see improvement and then one day you'll notice that he is elite.

this year he will be solidly in our best 22 by the end of the season.

Pulled out of the first contest and that's understandable. Was consistent after that, can't knock his endeavor.

Aish is an introvert who needs to keep playing like an extrovert. Role model on this should be Gavin Brown!

Good Call, this kid has a heap of class and will keep improving and is a decent set shot too which is handy.

Remember that contest and game - What Notting did then would get him 6 weeks now.
This was also Pendles Debut game. I remember coming home thinking he was going to be a star.

Pendles switched to Blakes number 10 the following year when Blake retired.

He lacks badly for leg speed - I'm not sure whether that can be overcome, despite all his other qualities. Sometimes a player can deal with that by controlling the space around them (as, say, Luke Ball did) but that isn't (yet) Aish's style, either.
