So we are judging success on "who's ahead of us" are we. Flags don't matter as long as your "ahead" of another team. Your philosophy is only right if all those teams win a flag before we do next. Are you prepapred, hand on heart to back that in?doriswilgus wrote:All of whom have gone ahead of us under Buckley's reign in case you've forgotten.kymbo5@yahoo.com.au wrote:Yeah six years without some success is awful, sack everyone at the club.doriswilgus wrote:Make the move now,Eddie.Put Buckley and the club out of its misery. This has gone on far too long.A professional club wouldn't put up with 6 years of this shit.

Look it's been said numerous times now. We are close to the pointy end of the season.
Surely the club knows whether they want Buckley to coach. The remaining games we have make no difference to the coach for 2018. It eityou think he can or not. We need to start planning for 2018. Let the coach know NOW.
The club is bigger than any one individual including the coach. As hard as it may be for the board and Ed, the tough call needs to be made.
The supporters have lived through 6 years of a coach that in the end you have to say has not worked.
We always believe Buckley to be a legend and true champion of the club. He has been given plenty of time to stamp his authority on this club. It has just not worked.
Collingwood please make the call. We need a new direction.

I just know failure when I see it,and that's exactly what i'm seeing right now,as does the vast majority of Collingwood supporters here.kymbo5@yahoo.com.au wrote:So we are judging success on "who's ahead of us" are we. how much responsibility do the assistant coaches take in the demise of our on field performance? Did Buckley get to choose or were these personnel put on him to work with? Noting we rarely win an area of the field for an entire game these assistants are responsible for, I would be thinking most of these people would also be on notice if Buckley is moved on.

Doriswilgus, I understand why you think/feel that way, I really do. I just don't think the coach is the cause of our lack of success this year. I'm not at all happy with our win/loss ratio. I do however, believe in working thru shit times, I prefer to see such times as opportunity to rise above significant challenge, to not look for easy way outs or quick solutions, and to remain loyal to hard work and perseverance.
That's why I still love the club, still back the coach and his staff and when success comes, I will enjoy it much more than those fair weather types.

actually, ol Jock did. during the early 1940s, we had a few very poor seasons in a row, in one game, we got smashed by the Tigers, 25 goals to 5 goals. Yet, Jock survived and led us back to the finals, late 1940s.inxs88 wrote:The most ominous thing for Bux today isn't the loss. Sounds like the jungle drums internally are starting to beat!

I like this very much kymbo5. Failure is not the apparent disaster that many think it is. Great things can emerge from it.
Bucks is probably gone, but all is not lost IMHO. From "failuire", some positives will always emerge.
