Whilst it's still mathematically possible he'll coach to win but he should now do whatever is in the best interests of the club going forward.
Damo, with our run home and playing so many teams already in the eight [again], they are going to see our fixture as a percentage grab to be chewed up and shat out, to advance their tilts at a top four position.

It's going to get ugly methinks...
Agree Dyso. Nice high draft pick coming our way and a chance to see if any of the VFL stock have what it takes.

If Kirby can step up next season in the AFL then we'll have a trio of very talented small forwards the likes of which we haven't had since Didak, Davis and Medhurst were prowling the forward 50.

Honestly if we can pick up S.Reid, add in Moore and draft the best tall forward with our 1st round selection this season then a new coach will have some decent options to work with.
So would the present coach.

It's kinda sad that we've only just hit July, and the season is effectively over.

And when we say VFL stock, we mean the kids, and not the AFL graveyard players?

What are the triggers for an EGM??
100 signatures from social club members.

Shouldn't be that hard.

A team basically full of reserves players are going to be competitive and still lose. At least the Players are behind the coach, I would hate to see the results if they weren't.

Possibly the worst moment watching the woods ever today as Maynard buries his head on the ground after a gentle hip and shoulder from big Joe after he goals from the free kick from Brayden. This after our #37 rough houses a bomber on the wing earlier on to fly the flag.
Right up there with Rhys leaving the ball on the ground for aker to goal in 03.
what's going on?
This is a symptom of scrambled brains out there.
Start the game on top. Couple of goals.
Then a couple of clangers and the rot sets in with six or more unanswered goals. They are a side who sticks up for one another. We are not.

What'sinaname wrote:Well and truly a bottom 6 team. There is no reason to keep Buckley as coach. We are a worse team now than when he took over...the sign of a bad coach.

The club has regressed every year and the only thing keeping him in his position is his name. Our worst coach for 30+ years.
Bottom 6? I would say bottom 2

I just watched Buckley's presser and it was as insipid and sad as watching the drivel that was shovelled up today. He has no idea what to do or what to say. I think he should be honourable to the club and it's supporters, loyal supporters who still fork out for memberships year after year, not to see us fall year by year and just fall on his sword with dignity and walk away before his legacy as a player is erased from his shocker as a coach. He looked like a lost kid in shock today and I feel for him, but as a coach ,he doesn't cut the mustard. He continually plays spuds like Broomhead and Smith!! My god Smith is so poor it's beyond humiliating.Langdon ??/ He stopped our momentum in it's tracks and then took a screamer and then almost coughed it straight up.
My brother has been a Social club member for 25 years and said he won't be renewing.6 years travelling backwards is enough. I live in Qld and cough up my membership for the last 17 years but not anymore. I saw the attendance today and the tribe is screaming out loud. They're staying away in droves and Nicksters I've followed many years say they were watching another game.Hawthorn FFS. Can you believe what this coaching group have done to this club??? That's my rant.Like the breakaway group in the tour de France I've given up the ghost as the peloton rumbles over the top of us.
