Sexual abuse and exploitation by peacekeepers: new UN plan met with scorn

The crimes were bad enough. Particularly as women and children might reasonably have seen the UN's fabled blue helmets as symbols of a protective world embrace.

But the real shocker was what the United Nations did, or didn't do, to punish perpetrators, to help their victims and protect the whistleblowers in serial sexual abuse scandals in war-torn countries.

A camp staffer at a Christian summer camp in Colorado has been hospitalized after he was woken up early Sunday morning by a bear chewing on his head.

The 19-year-old said that he thought he was dreaming as he heard a "crunching sound," only to wake up in "immense pain" as the black bear attempted to drag him away from the Glacier View Ranch campsite, Colorado Parks and Wildlife spokeswoman Jennifer Churchill told CNN.
Not how I'd like to wake up.

Hash browns on hamburgers.
Along with pineapple and beetroot, it does not belong on a hamburger.

I also saw that uber activated surge pricing which meant if you got an uber home you'd need a second mortgage. Pack of pr1cks, I'll stick with Taxis.
