^ we get ours by email too. So I rang them today - I'm on LSL can you send mine to my private email please?" Nope can't do that - ok can you send it by mail then - nope can't do that either you designated email! Yes I know that but I'm on LSL till mid August - oh well you'll have to wait or login to webmail!
So try to login from home - password has expired ( I swear we have to change our password every 300 milliseconds) So ring IT - login from a network PC - ah no as I told you I'm on LSL - after 20 mins of going round and round in circles they reset my password YAY!!
Login finally and there it is - quick glance at the squillion figure next to my inbox - log out quickly and despair that I have to go back in a few weeks NO!!
Still at least we can do our tax now

hah.
I look at the tax on the group certificate and feel like either crying or breaking things.
I've got private health insurance. When my son had a tumour in his knee, all got dealt with quick smart. When the daughter had her wisdom teeth out via surgery, all done. When i go to the dentist, costs me F all after the private health refund, same as the physio.

^ yeah I get it if you have Rugrats but we don't ( thankfully ) and for the number of times I have had to go to the dentist over the past 30 odd years I could get gold implants with embedded diamonds for the money I would have spent on private insurance and thankfully no back, knee or other chronic issues - so absolute waste of significant dollars for us.

I got mine online today & couldn't log in on first two attempts to the locked PDF file. However, when I read the accompanying email it was birthdate separated by dots where as I used / and no separation at first.
I'm paying a bit in super & just salary packaging to reduce the taxable income.
Private health for our situation is a must even though we are out of pocket so much & it costs a friggin fortune. My wife's hip op cost $5.5K upfront & we got with medicare rebate & pte health a whopping $1600 back
Then again I suppose those poor surgeons & specialists have been suffering; I mean those mooring fees for their yachts, the private schools for their kids ....

You have no idea how many phone calls payroll gets from unhappy, disgruntled and downright nasty people, claiming the password doesn't work, who somehow failed to read the email.
Of course, even after explanation, their failure of basic comprehension is somehow still Payroll's fault.

My password didn't work when I opened the email at home on Thursday. But it did when I went into the office yesterday.
Odd.
Not that I need to look at them anyway. My accountant gets them from the ATO and just makes magic happen. I barely even speak to him about anything. He just emails me the page to sign and that's as far as my involvement goes.

Put me in the private health insurance being a rort basket. I had it once for 5 years as part of my salary package. During that time both Shelby and I ended up in hospital and due to our circumstances the best place for her was the Children's and for me it was the Women's. Both public.Morrigu wrote:^ we pay shiploads and with no kids use fck all - I'll pay the surcharge before I take out bloody private health insurance what a rort!!
She had every scan/test imaginable and saw many specialists. I needed surgery and stayed there for 4 nights. Did not pay one single cent and from my experiences (too many really!) over the years I just can't fault our public health system.
I can only imagine the out of pocket costs the above would have cost me on top of the thousands I'd have paid for insurance.

Paid my tax agent fee 27 June. Kept asking where my money was. No response from agent. After a few more emails and a mate ringing them they say.
Here is your completed claim etc. Prepared today. I gave them details in June.Oh you have to pay fee.
I did, here is transfer details.
Ok we submit.
The culprit is not only the sister of tax agent but co hosts some St Kilda webshow and brags on linkdn how she nows all the players WAGS etc.
Now I have to wait more time when I should have had it already.
I earn super less than 44 k and pay 11k. Get abot 1600 dollars back.Glad the bastards on 80k a year got an extra tax break. And the bloody negative gearers. I use nothing. Even if I I go to Embassy I have to pay 50 dollars to witness a stat dec. Whenever I go home I am making a point of booking every bulk billed medical test I can. I might even try the pregnancy ones.
