Funny you should ask - a friend of mines doctor suggested apple cider vinegar for lowering blood pressure - and the penny dropped! I used to take some every morning, and was having dizzy spells - I already have low blood pressure! I only have it as a salad dressing now! (Hubby says I'm still dizzy!!)

Try it, but get the one with honey from chemart! The plain is just vile!

OK, I'll stick with what the physio (among other people have told me over the years) I'm an anomoly.

I've downed a glass of apple cider vinegar before, with no effect.

Ended up stuck on train for an hour.
Honestly not that bad as it was an earlier train and not too busy. Apart from some bored kids who were doing their version of Ninja Warrior, all in my carriage were fine. Only problem was that I needed to go to the loo by the time we got to Richmond. Quick wee stop then got next train to Sth Yarra - Sandringham line was 1 of the first to get back running. Then got an express to Caulfield. Hubby got home early from work so was on standby to pick me up in case I got stuck at Richmond.

pretty much. The way ISIS has behaved, that reaction is not unexpected.

I don't condone it, but it is, to a degree, predictable.

Look at what the Shona did to both Whites and Zulus in Zimbabwe once the guys from the bottom of the chain suddenly found themselves in charge and there's numerous other examples.

^ all wars - all wars - create atrocities, on both sides. If you are not prepared to see atrocities, don't declare, or look at, wars.

In this case, the atrocity at least does not involve civilians or (presumably) conscripts. The victims are willing volunteers for an army and a regime that films helpless people being tortured mentally and physically and then killed. In that regard, I guess, they reap what they sowed, and I have better places to spend my tears.

You reap what you sow, I agree, but does that mean the good guy needs to become the bad guy? How about being a better person? Bringing in change and starting off the new regime with leadership showing justice can be done the right way.

War crimes court, and then execute them if it's justified (it probably is in 99% of their cases I'm sure!).

Oh, of course it's preferable, always, and the Iraqi leadership have said they will prosecute the perpetrators, so I took that as read. My point is only that we should not imagine, though we often do, that wars can (or ever will) be fought the way comfortable civilians want them fought ; and while the process here is poor, the result is probably justice in the rough - assuming the newspaper report is accurate, of course.
