∆ classic cars are good, TP - but I doubt you drive one as your main car in preference to a modern car. Even if you do, I reckon the safety and comfort level and reliability is a lot lower !!

Can't afford to, it's club plates only!

Besides I love my little heated seated v-dub!

Reliability is actually a lot higher!

My '66 Stang can sit for a month, 2 pumps on the pedal and Connie starts everytime and off we go.

My 2012 Commodore Berlina International on the other hand, had caused me grief many times. *&^*(&%$% engine light comes on, only a computer can diagnose the fault.
Was on a country trip once, light comes on, goes into 'safe mode' and lose all power! Stop, wait, then go again, we only just made it home.

The fault? - a small crack in the throttle body.

Yeah I'm not keen on the new diagnostic system either! I like the old fix the carby with a pipe cleaner when your stuck motors, nothing like a Holley carby on a big V8! Hubbys sprinters have them! I love it!

∆ yeah, it probably does depend on the car - but I'm happy to trade you a sixties vehicle for a modern car in most cases....

I really like my new car. VSS Redline, 6.2l V8.

But, if it conked out I wouldn't have the foggiest idea what do do. It's roadside assist time.

The old cars, you could do a diagnostic check yourself. Electricity and fuel. If those two things were working, you could do a process of elimination.
