Unfortunately Goldsack reverted back to his fumbly bumbly self.

A pity, he was in career best form this year.

Really, really disappointed with posters on Nicks. No real reason for all the vitriol. We didn't win, we should have, but no reason to be so agressively rude.
Two points:

1. Langdon ? Today: 23 disposals. 95.2 DE%. Our best. Goldy ?? Surely, you jest.

2. You should've seen the posts we had to delete !! :)
Yep, I had a look at the Dons Bigfooty blog, they lost badly to the dogs, yet their fans were not half as bad as some on here, who just cannot accept the fact we drew a very exciting game v the Flag favourites. :o

Only drawing after that inspired first half is incredibly disappointing. Modern football is, as we constantly here, a game of massive momentum shifts. It swung back to Adelaide in the second half. Those who are despairing that we let a 50 point slip, I understand. But you should also be celebrating that we got 50 points ahead of the best team in the AFL with stunning football. We did not capitulate. The momentum had swung well and truly to Adelaide, but we held up in the final quarter. We fought back their momentum and held firm in the last part of the fnal quarter. Should have won with only 27 seconds on the clock and control of the football. I am proud of the team today, because our players demonstrated their ability. It was a massive performance and should give us great hope in the ability and potential of this list. I always have believed in the ability of our players, and I think they are proving right now that our less than pleasing results on the field are not the result of an inferior list.

Of course, but not when we're 51pts up in the 3rd, this is a loss for us & a win for ADL, did you not see our body language coming off?
ADL were jumping around in hysterics.

And yes I've encountered Pies losses from '77.

Langdon was fantastic, best game since he's been back, Goldy had a brilliant first half, looked tired in the second, but the. He did the job of two for a while.

I'm no fan of the AFL. I'm a Collingwood supporter. I was a fan of Bucks the player (not the coach anymore) , and I'm a fan of attractive, smart football. I'm not a fan of our current performances, or the structures that I have witnessed for 7 straight years. Somehow people are satisfied at a draw after leading by 50. How??? It just reinforces the structures and on field leadership (or lack thereof) that has plagued us for years. The result is irrelevant at te end of the day. It's how we managed to blow massive leads in the second half, and blow a goal lead with seconds to go with a defensive kick out. But yeah, we should be happy ...

I also thought that Scharenberg was good for us today.
People forget that our last premiership was only 2010 and rebuilds take some time. 2018 we play finals again.

Cmon who thought we could beat the Crows?

We drew, not a loss and yeah we let slip a 50 point lead. But who thought we had that in us?

Langdon was good for the most part and so was Maynard remember they were only playing their 53rd and 48th game. But they both showed what the next 50 games can bring.

Reid, Fasolo, DeGoey, Elliott, Phillips, Thomas and Crisp played bit parts and we held the ladder leaders.

We missed Pendles and Varcoe, but they missed Betts and a couple of others.

We could have, should have, but I'll take 3 goals from Tay Adams and Well's game anytime.

Our future is uncertain, but we are on the right path.

Go Pies

You may not be big enough to give credit where it is due but fortunately most posters are. Adelaide were the red hot favorites which is fair enough given they are top of the ladder. The pies were $3.50 long shots.

The pies more than deserved the draw. For the second or third time this year we were desperately unlikely to not get the win but as long as our younger players learn from it then we will improve.

Cam wrote:This game is about two things; how well we played in the first half, and how well the Crows played in the second.

In the end it was very disappointing that we couldn't spoil one of two marks, and that the maggot didn't pay the clear dropping the ball against 44 on our hff, but seriously our brand of footy isn't too bad for periods of the game.

Blair also kicked two goals in the GWS game he cost us.
He is the last player i want anywhere near the contest when the heat is on in the last quarter.
This is both the yin&yang of his weekly selection.

And yes - I throw my dummy out every time we lose; and all the toys get launched like missiles from the cot ... and I indeed sling shot like a llama on laxatives.

Anyhoo, best way to be rid of me and others: reappoint the coach for 2018.

Our kids will LEARN a lot from today, sometimes, you learn more from games you DONT win, the lessons they serve, than actual wins themselves.

We are Collingwood!!

But now we accept mediocrity.

Our inconsistency and up and down...players on form one week and next week shit...see Fasolo and Degoey, their good but we need consistency, as we are mediocre .....its not going to change.....

Look at x factor Wells... as he hasn't had it coached out of him!!!

Name one other with x factor!!!

team of firkin workmen.

Enough, if a coach can't defend 50 points up farking enough
