^ Never let the facts get in the way of a misleading lie. In reality, there has been controversy and acrimony about civil war "hero" statues for many years. But don't let that stop you, just make stuff up. Or, if you are lazy, just repeat the lies that Brietbart made up today. Saves effort that way.
What could be more intellectually lazy than answering every complex social, racial and economic problem that the U.S. faces with "It's Trump's fault".

Are you pretending that this has anything at all to do wit my post? If so, why?

And why quote me at all when your point has nothing whatsoever to do with my post?

What did your line (embolded by me above) have to do with Woko's post or was it just a snide aside you couldn't resist adding?

Black Confederates.

The Civil War is a very interesting area of study, one I've spent considerable time and effort on. The ignorance of the war, its reasons, participants and fallout is astounding, even in the USA. All this ignorance perfectly on display here.

I haven't studied the US civil war in any detail, but that doesn't surprise me.

Black troops fought alongside white in Rhodesia against the uprising, same in Sth Africa.

Individuals act according to individual beliefs and motivation regardless of the desire to collectivise groups of people according to race or culture
Every dead body on Mt Everest was once a highly motivated person, so maybe just calm the **** down.

There are Civil War monuments and civil war monuments. But like everything Trump puts his grubby mits on there is fraud going on.
Why he taints and devalues everthing that comes his way is beyond the understanding of most sane and ethical people! https://www.nytimes.com/2015/11/25/us/p ... ml?mcubz=1

It's not the f&*^ing left - it's the Democrats. They're the not-entirely-free-market capitalists.

Columbus, Cook, Magellan etc were not colonisers etc. They were explorers. They were there primarily looking for places to trade with. The real bastards werew the ones back in Europe, and in particular the churches, who practiced bigotry and persecution beyond our imagination.
Annoying opposition supporters since 1967.
