Well, I just flew in. My last flight home from DeGrussa. Sad to leave, there's some great people there. Trouble is, like all mining companies, the cock suckers take over. Anyway, I digress....

My next and last shift coming up.
Doing something completely different :) Driving a 6 berth campervan the 915km to site. That'll sit there for the week, Kelly flies in on the plane I'd be flying out on and we have a quick look around the place.
10ish Friday morning we jump in the camper and head to Karijini (558k's nor west). Do yourself a favour and check it out http://www.karijiniecoretreat.com.au/ka ... tionalpark

2 nights there and it's off to Coral Bay (590k's west), the weather should be perfect 8) http://www.coralbay.org/

We'll be 1120k's north of Perth..... and in no hurry home :)

Well the drive up here on my own is out of the way. 11 hours, i slept well last night! Was cruising on 120 but she chews the juice, last 400k's i sat on 100, much more economical. The difference is amazing actually, about 15mpg at 120, 23mpg at 100.

The camper is a ripper! 6 berth, walk thru from the cabin. The fridge is full and I've got it hooked up to a power supply, a/c running. It's a pretty good hiding spot :)

Now it's a slow week at work until Kelly flies up next Friday morning. We should be on our way to Karijini by 10am, mid 30's, perfect!

We left site at 8.30 this morning.... what a trip.

All was going well, we fueled up at Newman and topped up the fridge, driving to a swimming hole in Karijini and the engine light comes on, camper goes into fuvvven limp mode. 64 kms fro Tom Price, with my top speed fluctuating between 15 - 70km/h. Mechanic put the machine on it and it's fixed :)
Missed out on the swim and camped in a caravan park. Up early abd off to Coral Bay 8)

Start in December TP.
Yeah, we have our bikes in the back.

Still in bed in the camper. She's a 6 berh on a VW cab. Cruises along awesome. After fuel stops we cruise a bit to the next rest area and pull over for a feed and a drink at the table in the back. Kelly can walk thru and get stuff from the fridge when we're driving too :)

Coral Bay now.... got here about 2pm yesterday and straight in the water, superb. 2 more nights here. Lotsa tours and snorkelling on Ningaloo reef. In the pub by 11.30 to watch Novative race in the 4th race on the Sunny Coast. Geez a win would be perfect.
