You'd think that if a crime had been committed then the police would pursue charges regardless of the wishes of the alleged victim.
The fact is because no crime has been committed (see above) she does not have a case that would stand up in court. So the police have dropped it, citing the woman's desire for it to be dropped so the Fem-Left won't cry outrage at police inaction.

Shouldn't it be a civil issue anyway? If they paid her what she's asked to remedy the situation then it should be over.

How do you know it gets paid out withdraws the complaint no one is dead or injured Police had no reason to not drop the complaint too?
