My thinking is if you don't throw the book at the people who disseminated fully nude photos of identifiable footballers, ruining their reputations and damaging relationships and careers then this bloke should be met with the same sanction i.e nothing. His employer however is allowed to hit him however they see fit, which they have done with a slap on the wrist for being a dick and the victim apparently received a payment to make her whole again in agreement with either the player/Richmond/AFL.
Read like a lot of moralising hand-wringing to me. The sooner that people realise the players they support are flawed human beings (who can even do cruel or thoughtless things) the better.

What you say is true, but the media attention these incidents attract still take the gloss of a premiership, just like the Beams rape thing did for ours in 2010.
