Buckley is the best player in the AFL, for all the right reasons, many of which have been outlined in response to your ridiculous statement.
Monkey, you've been a supporter for ten years...who did you support before that? Or are you only ten years old? Hang on, that could be it...your intellect appears to be that of a child.
If one of your "champions" - ie. S.Rocca - was any good, he would have kicked a thousand goals by now, the way Buckley delivers the ball. If only we'd have got Lockett - or was he a selfish goal hungry anti-team performer too?

Well, it seems as though I have some questions to answer. And incase you've wondered I have not at all changed my mind about the capn we have that is Buckley.
First of all I don't appreciate the comments made about my intelligence. I bet that I could beat ANY of you at a game of chess any day of the week.
Secondly, having moved from France eleven years ago, I started watching VFL shortly after that and eventually decided to follow the pies. Before I moved to Australia I followed Bordeaux in the French premier league.
I am not 10 years old, am actually 24 and work at my local 7 eleven in Epping.
Fletch, you dare to play the tough guy with me. I'll just let you know that I'm 5'9 and about 80kgs and am not too shabby at karate if I do say so myself.
Now, back to the subject at hand.
WE NEED TO ENCOURAGE OUR YOUNG PLAYERS AND BUILD A TEAM OF CHAMPIONS!
Here's my little suggestions for this season...
-Promote Mal to captain. Look, he's got it written all over him
-Give guys like Davis a go 24/7 and get rid of all the old guys like Brown.
-Cancel Fletch's membership. Infact I doubt that he's even a real supporter to own one.
-BRINK MONKEY BACK yes I followed him since I first followed football. He had it then and he still has it now.
-Demote Buckley to CHB, yes put him on guys like Carey... we need him in the back, not farting around like a fairy all over the ground.
We showed signs of BRILLIANCE the other night... and it was not a bad way to get our campaign started. We rely on Bucks too much and looks what happens when he doesn't play well.. we loose, WORSE. I e-mailed bucks the other day anyway and he said he's thinking of going to Freo.... He's gonna be out of pocket bigtime if he doe's that coz breach of contract.
Y2Mick is going to do it for us this year! We've got to stick together guys and show everyone why we're the woodsmen and they're not...

Well how much ? where and When. You talk the talk but can you walk the walk. Be careful when you shoot your mouth off. (I was a former junior chess chmapion, I'm a washed up hack these days, but still capable of whipping anyone sub 1600, and can give them a run for their money up to 2000)
Yes Monkey WAS a great ruckman but we are NOT going to when the flag this year, Monkey may be better than McKee or Smith or Whoever but not for much longer, sadly we are in the post-monkey era. We need to find that next umber one ruck, and you need to give the guys a shot to find out how good they are. Smith and McKee will get the shot this year, I'm not jumping up and down in raptures by the first outing, but time will tell. Josh Fraser in two years away and will be better for having a serious foil. If Mckee and Smith don't pan out, try and get someone else. (I did think tht brisbane picked up Clarke pretty cheap).
Buckley is and out and out Champ. He is nearly the complete footballer, in his time at collingwood he has played almost every role. He is a leader and is always quick to bring otehr layers into the game. He is the rock that MM will biuld this team around. The only other dead set reliable player is Scott Burns (The new improved gavin crosica).
I love Mal Michael's work, but he is not consistent and has no settled role, his althletism is amazing, and he could be the best punch/spioler in the league. Hopefully he will kick on and find his spot.
I like the look of O'Bree. I want to see O'bree (ruck rover) Bucley (Cnetre) Williams/Lane/Davis (wings) Betheras/Jacotine/Orchard (rover).

I can't believe you could be so crazy to doubt Buckley's contribution to our club. Even opposition fans wouldn't bag Bucks the way you have! I'm sorry but no one agrees with you.

Well I guess Monkey has got people talking at least. He obviously does not know anything about football, And yes I have a black belt in makrame too. Bucks is by far the best player and i wish Crosisca would be five years younger.Williams needs the biggest kick up the arse. I believe he is getting paid big bucks and what for too inconsistent. By the way Bucks went to school with friends of mine who wouldnt let him play footy with them, cause he was too small!!!

he would be in any good observer's top 5, if not top 2 0r 3.
He is easily our best player.
He is the only possible sensible choice as captain.
Now Monkey, just accept that you got it wrong and that the other 2 million observers probably know a bit more than you at present....about footy anyway.
I'm not at all sure that anyone has ever shown that there is a relationship between Chess and superior intelligence either.
I've certainly come across absolute morons who can play chess in my time.
