Anyone know if the game will be live Sat night or not? Or will us poor country members going to have to wait until midnight to watch.

Game is NOT live. Rugby Union is starting 1 hour earlier than was originally scheduled. Replay begins at 9pm E.S.T.

It's live on C7 - but country folk might still get it live. You'll have to call your local station / check TV guide.

C7 has Port and Geelong LIVE at 7.30 with a Coll v Ess replay later...
Hmmm i would rather wait for C7 than the 9pm cut to pieces replay on Prime (7)

So it looks like no radio and NO chat room this sat night...
Bugga it!!!

But i guess we can wait for a miracle and see what happens on the night...arrghhh

Adelaide viewers- Channel Seven has a replay at 11.30 on Sunday morning- I think it will be just highlights for an hour and a half.

Hey Bones - the chat room will be running as usual, but I need to find a willing volunteer with reliable internet access and access to the scores (C7 or radio) during the game to run the scoreboard.

Lat I heard,ch 7 will show the 2nd half live sandwiched between the rugby and cricket.Talk about no brainer from 7 & AFL.Why didn't they just switch it the afternoon?

Well, that news that it's not even on C7 is a measure of the contempt that 7 has for the AFL and COllingwood.

Showing the game live on C7 was supposed to be the only reason why the AFL wasn't going to crack down hard on 7, considering it was 7 who asked for this game to be fixtured at night so they could show it at 7.30 for ratings.

The reasons it wasn't moved to the afternoon are officially stated as for "catering"!!! That's a bloody worry - that they've known of a need to change for 5 weeks but couldn't re-organise it given that much notice????

This whole matter is a cock-up all round, but the only ones who really suffer are the fans who can't make it to the ground. This is MORE significant than stuffing it up for those who will be there, as there will be an auidience at least 40 times the ground attemdance available to watch the game, and the majority of money in the AFL comes from sponsor exposure. Sponsors' biggest consideation in whether or not to take on a team is based on the TV time they will get. That's one of the key reasons the Roos have games in Sydney and Canberra - they gain a lot more sponsorhsip money (interestingly, this matter is discussed in the HUN today).

I sorta drifted from my point there...basically Channel 7 has screwed the vast majority of football fans. Only the "core" who will be at the ground are unaffected.

stupid channel 7. they are being as juvenile as bloody school kids. they asked the afl to change it so they can put it on tv then they go put the dumb rugby on. like who gives a rats about stupid rugby, at least you can figure out the rules of afl.
channel 7 are just in the shits cos theyre not having the footy rights next year. well this is certainly one way of having no hope in hell of GETTING THEM BACK.

Channel 7 should have NEVER signed the deal with Rugby Union so that the Rugby is shown first. Very bad decision from what was the football channel.
